The windows do not open at all which i find unhygienic and rooms should have fresh air. No phones in the room inconvenient if you need to contact reception or another room and what if there is an emergency. The saddle board into the bathroom was in a poor state for a new hotel lumps taken out of it and...

We stayed for 2 nights and could not fault the hotel. All the staff were fantastic and the room very comfortable. The best bit was the amazing view of the castle from our room. The hotel is in a pefect place for all the sights and activities on offer. We took the tram from the airport to Princes Street and...

Great location right on Princess Street, staff were helpful and attentive during check in and the hotel was nice and quiet during the night. I didn't use the resturant but spoke to a couple who couldn't recommend it highly enough

Stayed with my wife and 15 year old daughter. Great central location across from the Castle. Clean and a fair size room. Considering we were on Princess Street couldn't hear a sound. Never stayed in a Premier Inn before but would do again

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
