Everything was really great, the only downside was that the hotel was undergoing renovations at the time of my stay and it would have been nice to know that when booking/ a week or so before the visit.
Good sized clean room. Booked the room for 2; the room could accommodate 3 persons. Renovation of the premise on going during our stay. Staff was apologetic but we did not encounter any disturbance. Parks, shopping and dining areas within walking distance.
Have stayed here often as the location along from the bus station is central but quiet. It has been done up recently so everything is new and clean. The new windows can open which is great! The staff member on duty was very pleasant, as I’ve found them all to be.
Currently staying at this hotel and what an experience we've had so far! We had a problem with something in our room and we called reception early hours of the morning and a member of staff was up within 5 minutes of us calling, the staff member was called Jim I think and he tried to fix the problem himself but he said maintenance would need to look at it, but he offered to move us room next door which was brilliant and then he offered us complimentary breakfast boxes to make up for the incident, that is some customer service we have never received before in a hotel so that made our day! The staff in this hotel have been so lovley since we arrived and we will definitely be booking here all the time. Also big thanks to kirsty who came and checked if the room was clean enough to move into and making sure we are OK and she couldn't apologise enough she was so lovley So thank you Jim and kirsty & the man on reception yesterday you are all wonderful staff and you definitely deserve the praise!! …
Lovely location. Fantastic staff. Newly painted and carpeted. One small issue with shower meant we needed to change rooms, so it could be fixed, bit nothing was an issue. Would definitely stay again!!
Beds so comfy great location and staff are amazing No soap in the soap dispenser at shower and work currently been carried out so lots of noise early in the morning Also booked a double and got a twin room but managed to get beds together
The hotel is within walking distance of everything I wanted to see in Edinburgh. Hotel staff is great, when they're there. I needed help a couple of times and couldn't find anyone, nobody answered the number listed at the front desk. No cafe, nowhere nearby to grab a quick breakfast or tea/coffee. Rooms lack drawers, closets, coat hooks, bedside tables, hairdryers.
Good location in the area. Friendly staff. 3 stars as its a very basic hotel. Had to ask daily for toilet roll and towels etc. Would reccomend for price but not very luxurious. They had ironing facilities which is a plus.
Very easy check-in. Quick and efficient. Rachel on reception was very helpful. Room spacious and clean. Location was very central to George Street/Playhouse Theatre/bus station/bars and restaurants.
Hi, not sure on policy of change towels? Stayed 3 nights no change. Reception staff top quality very helpful, area of hotel good, yes i would stay again, we have stayed in lots of travelodges, with shower heads why dont they hang from ceiling? Where you have shower heads u have to stand so close to fixtures.,shower curtain did not fit shower tray, simple thing a peg to hang bottom of shoer curtain onto prob cost a £1, then the water does not destroy flooring and door.
