I only stayed at this hotel because I had a flight to Edinburgh and needed a place for the night because the last train had gone. I got a "value" deal. 26 pounds for the night. I sent them a message when I booked the room that I would arrive late. They charge 10 pound extra for late check-in which...

This hotel had its pluses and minuses. The room is good, the bay window had a view of the street and big windows allowed the air in. It is very easy to pass by. The parking is in the back of the hotel. There is a bus stop next to the hotel for getting into town and by the castle....

My wife and I had spent 4 nights here, lovely exterior well presented, The staff are lovely very helpful and very polite, Room was basic, bathroom dated, shower wasn't the best and had a day when it was cold only, the tv was tad on small side and features date. The wifi isn't free, and I think the full breakfast...

Room looked okay to start with but it was very plain, looking more closely it was scabby, old and very dusty. It could really have done with a good scrub before letting people sleep in it to be honest. The window sill had layers of dust and hair attached and the bathroom was dirty and half the flooring was missing!...

The only good thing about this hotel was its car park. The experience once getting out of the car was awful. So glad we only used the room for sleeping, was dirty and dull. Breakfast and wifi cost extra. Didn't expect much for the price but a bit of basic cleanliness would have gone a long way. Don't seem to...

could have been more updated and more cleaner. The hairdryer melted once we switched it on, AND my firend left her ipad in the room , we called to get this back and they advised us that it was not there. We know that it was still there!!! I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

I stayed for one night for the great Edinburgh run the next day. The hotel looked good from the outside but as soon as you walk in the door you get unprofessional staff. I stayed in room 25 which was on the top floor along with a room of young girls who had their music full blast along with the...

Looks nice from the outside, we stayed for 2 nights to enable me to go for a hospital appointment. The room was ok at first glance. However, throughout the stay the room was freezing, the window drafty, the TV didn't work the first night and I discovered we weren't alone in our room as the resident woodlice came out on...

A two night stay was booked through a company that arranges stag do's which will also be getting a complaint. From the outside looks like a nice hotel but it is far from it. Our group was already being lectured about keeping noise down and warned we would be thrown out if we were too loud before even getting our...
