Cherry Tree Villa was great. It is warm, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. Peter was a friendly, welcoming and a knowledgeable host. It is situated in a good location, loads of buses at the end of the road, a 20 minute walk into the city. Would thoroughly recommend.

My husband and I were warmly received by Peter, the very friendly and helpful host (also chief cook and bottle washer!). We arrived early AM, but were welcomed anyway. It was an easy walk to the center or bus stop and the buses ran very frequently. We would definitely stay again or recommend it to our friends.

We stayed for four nights to see the City and do some things at the Fringe. The place was ideal for this. The room was small, but perfectly acceptable, clean and comfortable. The host, Peter, was incredibly friendly and very helpful when asked for advice about travel etc. The location is also very good. 20-25 minutes walk into town, or... More

A friend of mine and I stayed at the guest house for five nights. The host was exceptionally accomodating and friendly, we got a warm welcome and loved to stay there. Our room was comfortable, clean, calm and spacious. I'd like to point out the delicious breakfast, which is freshly made after you've ordered. Besides the guest house was an... More

Fans of Fawlty Towers will love this one. Booking was complicated, and mine got lost—my fault I was told. As an alternative I was offered two choices on the top floor. The first smelled of damp; so I chose the smaller, a single size into which a double bed had been wedged and the price raised accordingly. The room was... More

Peter K, Manager at Cherry Tree Villa Guest House, responded to this review

The guest complained about using the internet to book a room. Then complained about the stairs. The shower being wet and not draining as fast as it should. Also, the smell of the shower going into the room that may cause dampness. Of course, the price. Then the phone that need coins to operate. Further, staying next to the guest... More

Ideal! What really set it apart though was the vey warm welcome from Peter Kwok. He emailed... More

Stayed for two nights.Nice and clean room, would have liked to have curtains, since the lamp outside, by the entrance, was lit at night. Friendly atmosphere. Helpful host. Nice breakfast. Quiet street. Within walking distance to town center, also a lot of buses stop nearby. We were completely satisfied . Thank you.
