Stayed two nights on business and used the business facilities in 'The Acadamey' Check in was fast and simple. No acknowledgement of IHG rewards status but other than that business like. I was placed in room 433 (an executive room) and I think it has been recently decorated. Very nice indeed. Sadly this room has an interconnecting door and I...

Hotel of choice for us when travelling with the children to Edinburgh (usually for the rugby) Easy to get to, bus stop outside, nice swimming pool and family rooms. Food fine and suits us at the end of a long day when eldest and husband at rugby. Staff always polite and attentive. Always take a cardigan when sitting in the...

We had dinner on the first night which was lovely. All the staff are lovely and efficient. We received good news whilst we were having dinner. We...

The hotel is located just out of Edinburgh, but easily accessible by bus (£1.60), Airlink 100 bus to the airport from Waverley Station & back (£4.50) or taxi (c. £12). It shares a drive with Edinburgh Zoo, so perfect if you paying the zoo a visit. Definitely check out the visiting pandas & the penguins! The staff were very welcoming...

Short walk to Murrayfield hence the choice. Room adequate but at £192 per room rather pricey. Booked late so no chance to find better deal on an International rugby day. Would stay again but hope for better deal

Thank you for your review of you recent stay at Holiday Inn Edinburgh for the Scotland v Australia match at Murrayfield. During such weekend events prices in the city do tend to be higher. We stayed here for one night as we were taking our daughter to the Zoo which in all honesty this hotel is in the perfect location, but that's pretty much all I can say good about the place. The family room which we had we very dated, smelled stale and wasn't as clean as it should be! The bathroom was...

Very nice hotel, with nice staff. Room is nice, but a little bit dirty. Heating is unavailable in my room. I've asked twice to reception, saw people going to my room to fix it but nothing since the last 24 hours. Restaurant is slow, food is basic. Breakfast is nice. The hotel does offer a gym and a parking. Baths...

Travelled with another couple. Check-in was fine although the rooms stated to be opposite each other were actually separated by an entire corridor which was in a differing block. Room was basic but ok. 1st night we ate in hotel - food was acceptable, however it was like eating in a general canteen. No ambience at all. Pity that the...
