A carers visit once more to check on parents before Easter. I called direct and as previous guests got a great deal for the two nights. Lovely room on the ground floor and what a size!!! It was for the less able but couldn’t have wished for better . Arrived around 7.30pm so ordered food straight away to the room due to COVID rulings . I had the soup of the day carrot and coriander . It was delicious and served with fresh bread and plenty of it . Hubby had the Mac & Cheese for the main and I made my main the starter Brie and onion tartlet and a portion of chips . It worked . Huge bed and very comfy. All staff were so pleasant and helpful . Breakfast on the Thursday for me full grill and hubby had the scrambled egg. The breakfast included in the price . Thursday night we kept it simple and both had scampi and chips . All in all a fantastic stay yet again and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you to every at the hotel for your great service. Best Western should be proud 😎…
Have stayed 4 times this year all during lockdown. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Evening meal served in your room due to covid but to a high standard and at time requested. Breakfast in restaurant all socially distanced and to a high standard. Couldn't ask for a more covid safe experience from a hotel. Great staff, always helpful and welcoming!
I booked Kings Manor for our film crew as we were shooting along the road and the rooms were great value, clean and the staff went above and beyond. Reception staff were really accommodating and helpful. Everyone in our crew got great sleeps and felt very looked after throughout the stay. Thank you all!
Just far enough out and on the right side of town if you're a Sassenach making your way back home in the morning. Rooms were nice and spacious, breakfast was decent, communal areas were a touch dated. Good value for £65 a night. I walked into Musselburgh which is a good 30 minute journey, luckily Storm Dennis had just blown itself out beforehand.
Lucky only stayed the one night. The room was very was very small and very basic. The walls was paper thin hearing everything from the adjoining rooms. The room badly needs to be modernised. Couldn’t even have a much needed shower due to the toothbrush power of the shower. Very disappointed! The only plus I could give was the breakfast on the morning and the friendliness off the staff.
