You can have a really romantic escape in here, away from the city center.. They offer 2 types of breakfasts, the staff is really helpful and its really well connected Affordable rooms and peace and quiet of a neighbourhood, birds and squirrels in the garden

I didn't realise how busy Edinburgh was in mid February until we started looking for a place to stay. After seeing several " No vacancy" signs we tried here. The proprietor, Javed, who is a really nice guy, explained they were opening the next day but agreed to open up for us. The room was clean and had everything required...

We stayed here over New Year and were a little sceptical after reading the reviews on here. It was everything you'd want from a guest house. Our room and bathroom were clean, warm and large enough for the two of us. We got fresh towels everyday and our room freshened. It is about 20 mins walk to the city centre...

It's seems as though there are mixed reviews on here but you need to understand that you basically have two choices A overcrowded city centre high street hotel or something slightly out of town. This hotel/ B&B we have found to be great and fulfilled all our needs. The price for 3 nights was an absolute bargain. It consists of...

Not a particularly nice hotel to visit. The room that my partner and I had was room 7. The room and bathroom were not particularly clean. It was stupidly small and the bedding didn't smell fresh, also the net curtains (yes nets in 2016) were too short for the window, and the tea bags in the room were out of...

We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Edinburgh. We had read some of the reviews so we were a little sceptical about it after booking but we needn't have worried. Our room was almost palatial in sizecompared to many of your run-of-mill, squeeze them in tight rooms that you get in your big chain hotels. It was...

Well located close to Edinburgh city centre. Provided all we needed for a good night's sleep. Comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Excellent bathroom. Flat screen tv. Basic but perfectly acceptable for price we paid. The bathroom had beautiful shower and under floor heating. The bedroom appeared mid modernisation. Beautiful antique ceiling. Clean and comfortable. Free parking and walkable to city centre....

We've been going to The Thrums for a few years now when we visit the Fringe. Sorry Thrums but we won't be back. Very poor this year. Mattresses need changed, shelf in bathroom fell off the wall, water in shower didn't run away, TV didn't have good reception, we didn't get a choice for breakfast the first morning and when...
