We visited Scotland for three weeks. This was our least favourite stay, but only because of the room. Pillows like rock. Just a little outdated. No soap, shampoo. The shower/bathroom was rusting and very small, as was the room (but it seems that small rooms are norm in much of Scotland). Staff were friendly. Good breakfasts. Too bad.

This guest house is about 10 mins walk downhill from Princes Street, close to the Botanical Gardens. It's sister hotel, Eyre, is one door down. The accommodation is within a Georgian terrace house, which does give the interior some charm. The beds are uncomfortable, carpets are dirty and threadbare in places. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available to make in room....

Unfortunately my wife and I had to cancel our booking at short notice recently and we were not charged a cancellation fee. Very appreciative of the kind gesture. We will be sure to look them up again.

The Ardenlee Guest House is located in a very quiet and safe part of Edinburgh/New Town, 10 minutes from the Princes Street (all bus connections) in an area full of galeries and antique shops. Across the street there are two nice diners, down the street there is a cosy sports-pub Smithies and around the corner on the main street there...

We enjoyed our stay at Ardenlee Guest House. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast (as well as the room it was served in) was very good and we were happy with the location in a quiet street in Edinburgh's New Town and close to several good restaurants/cafés. The room itself (room no. 2) was OK - it served our...

Location was convenient for travel to and from the train station. Room confirmed during booking was not provided. This was a nasty surprise from a guest house having a three star rating. So credibility went for a toss straightaway. The room allotted was badly designed and bathroom cum toilet was too small even for a person with moderate build. The bathroom was...

Stayed for 4 nights with my girlfriend. Upgraded to a double room on arrival which was great, besh was comfortable although very noisy, breakfast was also good. Staff were very friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Only problem was we couldn't connect to the WiFi from our room. Would definately stay here again.

We had a great stay in the triple room, it was quiet, clean and tidy, shower was hot and there were some nice biscuits and drink sachets. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was really nice lots of choice from cereal to full English. The Guest House was around a 20 minute walk from the...

Nice, quiet part of town and just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Large rooms, especially high ceilings but we found the shower's water pressure to be terribly low. Great breakfast, nice people. Definitely recommend.

Stayed here for two nights (room 4 twin room) while visiting the city to watch the rugby. For the price and for such a busy weekend, couldn't have asked for more. Not to far away from the main hustle and bustle but just far enough away if you want to appreciate some quiet time. Although the decoration is a little...
