I booked into the Grosvenor for the entire month of January whilst I was moving house, the staff were fantastic and always on hand if I needed anything. They offer a reduced menue but nice selection and variety, I had my dog (Riko) with me as the hotel is pet friendly, they were great with him. Brian, the manager was very accommodating and offered any assistance where possible as did all the staff. The rooms are very clean and offer a nice relaxing environment and work space. If you ever sty ask Sonia to make you a latte, quite possibly the best I’ve had! Finally I just want to say thanks to all the staff for making it a comfortable stay, the bar was closed but offered 24/7 room service! Thanks again..

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel when we went to the ChristmasAtTheBotanics lightshow. The staff couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. Ana looked after us when we went for dinner, which was delicious. Sonya and Jennifer looked after us throughout our time at the hotel and were very professional, helpful and personable.

Booked a stay through Wowcher as a gift for my partner for our anniversary, this was under false pretences as it was actually where we would be staying when I proposed to her. I contacted the hotel to explain this and they immediately assisted in my devious plans to surprise her. When we arrived we were informed we were now in a suite. The suite in question is amazing! Lovely bathroom, living space and the biggest bed we’ve ever seen! Great TV’s and massive ceilings, all the decor is perfectly in matching this gorgeous listed building and it feels like perfection. After checking in and dropping our stuff off in our room, we left to go the castle where I’d pop the question. On the way out we stopped by checkout to book our dinner reservation and breakfast times, this was super easy and the times were perfect. After a successful proposal we arrived back at the hotel, where the receptionist was waiting to ask how it went and to see the ring, which was lovely that they showed the interest. We then went down for dinner, starters were potato and leek soup, and a portion of the chicken strips, the soup was outstanding, incredibly tasty and well presented and the chicken strips were apparently very tasty and a massive portion. For mains it was the cheeseburger which was a massive portion and good quality burger served with beautiful wedges, and the Cumberland sausages and mash which was absolutely gorgeous! Then as a surprise the staff had organised us a dessert which was the outstandingly good honeycomb cheesecake l, a really special touch which we were both really moved by. We spent the evening in the room with Prosecco and beers. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was really tasty and served really quickly. Overall this was an absolutely fantastic stay and wonderful hotel, the staff were the definition of hospitality perfection and a credit to the hotel. The Edinburgh Grosvenor will forever now be our special place in Edinburgh that helped a magical day become amazing, thank you all! …

Stayed here for an over night last week and it was a very pleasant stay ! Sarah and Sonia where extremely helpful and cheered up our morning with their cheery happy attitudes and even offered us more hot drinks that weren’t originally on the menu ☺️ The cocktails where also delicious!

Afer COVID throwing a spanner in the works and we were unable to have our wedding day as planned at the hotel we decided to stay the night to mark the day. arrived at the hotel to find out Sonya had not only upgraded our room she had also arranged some lovely chocolate brownies in our room. The staff on duty were great and even with the restrictions they had in place it was a perfect evening. The meal that Matt conjured up was delicious as was one of the biggest breakfast I have seen. Thank you for making our Non Wedding Day special I know we are going to be in great hands for our rescheduled date next year.
