    Location wonderful ,room clean and bed changed everyday , food excellent. waiting staff lovely Will recommenced to anyone planning a visit to Edinburgh. Lifts to all floors and as i am disabled that was a big bonus.

    I stayed for 1 night a couple of years ago during a 3 day conference and I checked out after the first night and moved to another hotel. Many of the other reviews on the amenities and condition of the rooms resonate with my experience....More

    We booked this hotel on the grounds of its location and with a little trust in the Mercure chain. We arrived on a flight at Edinburgh airport after the last train home had left, so reached the hotel around midnight. Apparently it was fully booked....More

    No they are all the same size according to the reception. Which means no baths anywhere I assume!!

    Think you'd be best asking for a room with a view, I got round the back when I visited, I didn't mind as it was lovely and quiet - the front is noisy. depends if you prefer the view over the noise. can't remember 're safety... More
