Quite simply this is, and always has been, my favourite hotel. There are not enough words to explain why that is. I remember my first visit when I took my first step through the entrance. How I was mesmerised by the decor, the striped carpet leading me to reception, the staff dressed so well to compliment the surroundings, the stunning...

Impressive drive up to hotel and very attentive staff (seemed rather too many?). Set Sunday lunch menu was short but covered all requirements - quality of the food was excellent and service was top notch. A little problem with the bill (due to a technical glitch!) but was readily resolved. Only criticism was that drinks were on the expensive side.

My daughter and I went for afternoon tea at The Prestonfield House Hotel on 11th March. On arrival we were greeted at the door by a very pleasant young man who offered to take our coats and showed us to our table. Our waitress introduced herself and left a box of tea samples for us to decide which tea we...

A much anticipated return visit after an amazing stay last year. A wonderful and warm welcome and check in on arrival making us feel good to be back. Our suite was fabulous in that 'Prestonfield' way! The staff are such an asset to the hotel in making you feel at home and looked after from start to finish. We throughly...

The greeting from the wonderful staff was to set the tone for the whole stay. It has been said in many previous reviews but...

There is very little to say really, other than our stay was simply fabulous from start to finish. Tremendous attention to detail, gorgeous decor, super-friendly efficient staff and the best breakfast in a very, very long time.

The decor in this hotel is just to my taste and this was a main point I wanted to point out, a well decorated hotel! The breakfast was delicious and filling. The only fault for me was the room was too warm (better than too cold) I would certainly return in the future

We had lunch from the bar menu at the Prestonfield hotel in the whiskey bar. It was very pleasant until we got the the cheese board. It was pleasantly laid out with a good range of cheeses. The problem was the amount of garlic in the honey. Why was it there in the first place? It was inedible, we complained...
