My wife and I just spent the week (Aug 20 - Aug 27) in Edinburgh and at Appin House. We found the accommodations to be great and were very happy with our stay. The room was large and included a dresser and ample closet space, with hangers, to unpack our clothes into as well as a couple of armchairs and...

I liked the stay and I recommend it, especially if you are looking for a budget location. The place is quite nice and the quality price ratio is excellent: I spent 50£ per day which in Edinburgh is not easy to get. The location is not at waking distance from the city center but it's just 10 min far by...

Had the occasion to stay at the Appin House with my wife and 7 year old twins. Upon arrival the Manager Jim gave us a great briefing of local dining in the area suitable for families and areas to park our rental car (which as luck would have it was right in front! But there is plenty of free parking...

Enjoyed staying here for the 2 nights we were in Edinburgh. Service and breakfast was lovely (loved the french press coffee!) and the room and overall space was super charming. We got to meet the owner and had a great conversation with him as well! We had one of the larger rooms that slept 3 people with its own bath.

Each option for breakfast was delicious and filling enough to keep you going till mid afternoon. The owners were really helpful with directions and advice about places to visit...

Friendly welcome. Although the room was small it was perfect for one who was looking to sleep. Breakfast nice if you don't mind microwave eggs. Lovely garden and a great location handy for the city centre but out of the way enough to enjoy the peace and quiet.

If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, clean and pleasant place to stay within walking distance from amenities this would be a lovely choice. Appin House has a nice old world feel about it- very well kept and as mentioned, a nice ambiance. The proprietor was most helpful and very gracious. I would stay here again. Kind regards, Deborah...
