Great location, near zoo and buses into town (if you don't know Edinburgh, you should know their bus service is the envy of the civilised world). Friendly staff, nice little pub underneath with a decent carvery. Book your table for meals to compete with the locals (Corstorphine is bizarrely under-served with decent pubs)

This was my third or fourth stay at this location, which is conveniently placed for visiting family in western Edinburgh . The rooms are fairly small and possibly a little cramped but IMHO they are they best they can be when the age of the premises is taken into account. The shower / WCs are clean and bright and appear...

Hotel room ok bed comfortable room ok, shower was a bit small but acceptable. Breakfast was a bit dried up if you are having a cooked breakfast. Hadn't been to Calvert for months due to other commitments! But wasn't disappointed, still as good, especially the Turkey some places replaced real Turkey with Turkey joint and it's far too dry , but not this Toby Carvery! Even left room for a summer pudding, an ice cream sundae, which was scrumptious ! Take a trip, worth the money!

This hotel deserves to be ranked much higher, but it seems nobody posts their reviews. It is a very pleasant place to stay. Staff couldn't be more helpful or polite if they tried. Rooms are clean and fresh, can be a bit noisy to the front, as the hotel is on the main West exit route out of Edinburgh. But...
