Fingal opened in January 2019 in the historic Port of Leith as a unique addition to Edinburgh’s hotel scene following a £5 million development. This former Northern Lighthouse Board ship, begins an exciting new chapter offering beautiful cabins, dining and entertaining space. Developed by The Royal Yacht Britannia, Fingal’s 23 luxury cabins are each named after Stevenson lighthouses, inspired by her rich maritime heritage. I highly recommend Fingal. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out the service was first class. The afternoon tea is one of the best I have ever experienced and the mocktails are wonderful too. Fingal truly deserves to be number one on TripAdvisor. Faultless. After travelling from Kirkcudbright for my wife’s birthday we were delighted with the reception you get from the staff , very professional and polite especially under the circumstances of the pandemic . The ship is absolutely stunning, the rooms are first class everything about the ship welcomes you . Our evening meals were great with beautifully prepared food that tasted even better and the staff couldn’t do enough for you .would also say that the breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice .
