Recently stayed at 94DR with my husband and our teenage daughter. We stayed in the Bowmore room and my daughter was in the room next to us. Loved our room choice-spacious, beautifully decorated, and amazing views. The breakfast ranks up there amongst the best breakfasts that we ever had at a B&B (and we've stayed at hundreds over the years)...

I loved Edinburgh, and 94 DR is a huge part of that equation. This charming B&B in a Victorian building offers ultimate comfort and that "cool" factor, courtesy of Paul and John's exquisite design sense. My friend and I stayed in the Caol Ila room, and loved its spaciousness, the twin bed option that ensured we each slept well, and...

Our second visit and we will keep going back if the standard remains as high as it is. The hosts Paul & John are fabtastic, can't do enough for you. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfasts are superb and every dinner / restaurant recommendation well received. It's a boutique guest house alright, from the dark atmospheric entrance to the bright...

Jill and I stayed at this Edinburgh gem on the 1/2/3rd of March as a base to explore a little more of Edinburgh. It is ideally positioned for a pleasant walk to the palace, parliament and the Royal Mile. Bus routes to central Edinburgh and Leith are good, and stop almost at the door. Spacious bedrooms are comfortably furnished with...

I've stayed with Paul and John several times. They are great hosts, the rooms are excellent and the breakfast is amongst the best I've had anywhere,. I visit Edinburgh fairly frequently and chose 94DR over more expensive and less personal hotels.

My son and I stayed for one night but we should have stayed longer. 94dr is stylish, spotless and in a great position near Arthur's Seat. We combined exploring the city sights with a very bracing walk up Arthur's seat to see the fantastic panoramic views. John and Paul couldn't have been better hosts and the breakfast of porridge and berry...

Stayed for a weekend recently and this place is lovely. The warmest and friendliest welcome when we arrived. The guys couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is great. It's personally cooked for you once you've sat down. Plenty of tea and juice and toast and a choice of granola or porridge to start you off. Room comfortable and...

We enjoyed a 2 night stay and this was our first foray into guest house accommodation - I fear that with 94 DR we've been spoiled and everything else will be downhill from here. From the restaurant recommendations we received prior to our visit, to the brilliantly warm welcome, the fantastic 2 course breakfasts, the stunning decor and the exquisite...

Usually, I have a lot to write in these things, and that's because I'm picking fault with everything about a place - however there is very little I can say about 94dr as it is pretty much perfect. Everything was great, the room, the location, the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic (wish I could have eaten more of it!), it...

I chose this due to reading other reviews and am so pleased I did. Fantastic B&B. Beautifully decorated and the most amazing breakfast, huge comfortable luxurious beds, but the absolute stars of this venue are the owners who are so incredibly personable and friendly and made our stay. They helped with restaurant recommendations, accommodated our bags when we needed it,...
