I was a bit nervous about staying in a small, personal, very WHITE decorated art house with my rambunctious 11 year old son, but Wallace made our stay absolutely perfect. They got on beautifully and I felt so well cared for the entire time. The place is truly light, airy and beautifully put together - it is so bright you...

Have just come back from an amazing weekend in Edinburgh made all the better by our stay with Wallace Shaw in his beautiful home. Book here if you want a weekend with personality rather than staying in a bland corporate hotel room! Wallace's home is full of art he has collected from all over the world and left us full...

We stayed at Wallace's the night before the Deerstalker race and it was a brilliant place to relax in front of the fire. Wallace is a brilliant host and has many a tale to tell. The whole atmosphere is calm and creative - LOVED the cardboard chairs in particular! The bedrooms were lovely and mine had what looked like an...

Spent a weekend in Edinburgh and really enjoyed my stay at Wallace. He's a wonderful, charming host and makes you feel completely at ease as soon as you arrive. Make sure you take a good look around his place, every corner has a story.

Wallace is certainly a gem and a great delight to share a glass of vino with! The sitting room with the fireplace was the ideal place to rest the weary feet. The host was welcoming and the spread in the morning was just amazing. Staying at Wallace's is like stepping into his life. Colourful and amusing!

Staying at Wallace’s Arthouse is a journey within a journey. Most of the objects in the house (including the linen!) come from different parts of the world, tell their own stories, but also make you feel at home at the same time. The rooms are bright and clean, making it a real temptation to stay in bed until late (but...

I only wish that there was a Wallace in every city in the UK. With all the weddings that are happening at the moment and therefore lots of travel to all parts, we were after a comfortable, friendly B&B that didn't cost the earth and wasn't soul-less like many suggested hotel or B&B venues are. The Art House and owner...

You will find Wallace to be the consummate host. And if you stick around for breakfast (which you would be mad not too) you will find he is also the best of company. Go stay you will find the devil is quite literally in the detail, collections of Chinese tea pots, Italian cooking implements and chic, chic furniture. Wallace has...

Great house with so many interesting features - the best being Wallace himself. Lovely rooms and exceptionlly comfortable beds and a super breakfast. Beautifully situated for the historic port of Leith with lots of excellent restaurants and interesting buildings yet only minutes from Princes Street and the centre of Edinburgh (with first class local transport). Sounds like an advertisement but...

We stayed at Wallace's Arthouse after finding it on Tripadvisor the day before arriving. We were a bit worried about the location but only because we had never been to Leith or Edinburgh. There was nothing to fret. Leith is a lovely town that provided a nice hometown break from the bustle of Edinburgh. For his part, Wallace is an...
