An enjoyable and lovely 2 night stay. Graham was very nice and accommodating and just an overall nice fellow. Breakfast was wonderful (missed it on the first day as we were late getting out) but made it a point to get breakfast on the 2nd morning and it was just lovely. The dining area was nice and cozy too. We...

Friendly and helpful on arrival but disappointed my room didn't have a ensuite and had to go down a steepish flight of stairs to use a bathroom and toilet. As other reviewers have mentioned the rooms a pretty basic. Breakfast was very good.

I am glad this guest enjoyed his stay overall. The single rooms are clearly stated to have a shared bathroom and our website does show that our guest-house is on 3 floors (the bedrooms being on the first and second floors). So if a guest indicates to us that mobility is an issue we can try to accommodate them on...

A most enjoyable 2 night stay,Graham was a lovely jolly host, the breakfast service was superb,Graham did a grand job. The hotel is a bit dated in its furnishings, but that adds the character ,the bed in room 9 could do with a new matress . Overall it did the job at hand. Thank you Graham .

Thank you for your review; the furnishings (including mattresses) are less than 2 years old-and I suspect we change our mattresses more frequently than the average householder with the beds, overall, being slept in less often. Regards Graham

Only stayed one night, but we were made very welcome by Graham on arrival, and immediately felt at home. Our double room was quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast service was superb and the food was expertly cooked and delicious. We would definitely book again if we returned to Edinburgh.

An excellent b&b hotel. Graham the owner of the Glenisla (the spelling used on their website) is a great guy and cares about his customer service. He's always available to make sure everything is in order. The rooms are very clean and in the case of en-suites such bathrooms/showers are excellent. To finish things off the breakfast is a top...

I took my daughter to beautiful Edinburgh for her to visit the University and have a feel of the city. We booked the twin room with ensuite at the Glenisla and had a fantastic experience. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and the bathroom basic but both perfectly clean. We had a minor issue with...

We stayed at the GlenIsla when we first visited Edinburgh in summer 2010. All the other rooms were taken so we had to make do with the room that wasnt en-suite, i did not like the idea of this but it actually wasnt that much of a problem. The Room was very clean and nicely decorated with tv, tea/coffee facilities...
