My husband and I have just spent a couple of days at 23 Mayfield and we've had a terrific time. The house is spotlessly clean, the breakfast excellent and the hosts kind and helpful. We often have a few days away and usually stay in different places just to enjoy the diversity available but the next time we are in...

Wonderful accommodation with a warm friendly host (Ross). We were welcomed as if we were family yet the scale of wonder when we entered our bedroom was beyond our expectations. A fabulous city break which was faultless, I highly recommend this to anyone and thank you Ross & Kathleen.

My partner and I stayed in this beautiful house for my birthday. Ross has done a brilliant job and the detail in each room Is just perfect! Bus route into the town just outside, restaurants a 5 minute walk away, and the breakfast is also gorgeous! We're planning on returning later in the year.

We loved our stay at 23 Mayfield. It was truly worth every cent! The room and bathroom were perfect and the visit with the owner Ross was delightful. He loves his home and his job! The house is beautiful and has its own parking lots and there are a number of buses in easy reach. Our room was very clean and beautifully furnitured. The breakfast was...

We've just returned from a 3 day break in Edinburgh, and I cannot recommend this lovely guesthouse highly enough. Ross was very welcoming on our arrival, and showed us around the house, which is a beautiful Victorian villa style property with plenty of period features. We stayed in the Premier Jacobean room. It was lovely. A massive 4 poster bed...

My first trip to Scotland was perfected by my stay at 23 Mayfield. The accommodations are beautiful, quiet, and within walking distance of all that Edinburgh offers (including the bus stop, which is right out the door). The host and proprietor, Ross, is inviting, humorous, and full of suggestions for a fun day's activities. The full Scottish breakfast is an...

We stayed here for a weekend in a Tudor styled room (number 2). The bed was a proper US sized king and the room gorgeous. Very nice bathroom as well (love the oversize towels). The room is a tad small but this is expected in a big city. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They have a great lounge...

My husband and my teenage daughter stayed at the Family room for 3 nights. The room is located on the top floor with no adjacent rooms so it is very quiet and has a pleasant view of the back yard. The location is easy to find and right in front of a bus stop which is the main bus route...
