What a wonderful find the Gil Dun Guest House was for us! Beautifully decorated, fantastic breakfast, helpful and friendly hosts, all in historic Edinburgh. Great value for the dollar. Comfortable beds and spotless rooms. Gerry and Billy go above and beyond to ensure that their guests are happy and comfortable. It is close to a bus stop so getting to...

We stayed at the Gildun for 3 nights at the end of May and couldn't of been happier with our stay! Gerry and Billy are great hosts and the breakfasts are amazing! I really do believe you would struggle to find a better place to stay in Edinburgh. The rooms are well decorated and to a very high standard. As...

Stayed at the Gil Dun three nights, and it was such a lovely oasis in Edinburgh. Every minute of my stay was delightful. The beautiful room was so comfortable, and Gerry’s helpful advice each morning at breakfast, not to mention his excellent choice for music each day, really set the scene for a great time. The location is ideal, in...

What a lovely first experience in Scotland. Jerry was fantastic and very punctual with bfast. We arrived early and he was certainly accommodating. The location is very good, only a few minutes walk to all the bus lines. Enjoyed staying slightly out of center city. There wasn't anything about our stay that we didn't enjoy. Thank you Gil Dun!!

We stayed three nights in room no 2 and it was a beatiful room, nice and quiet. Lovely hosts and delicious breakfast. Take the bus to the centre or a lovely walk about 20 minutes. If we are coming back there's no doubt about where we will stay of course at Gil Dun Guest House.

At first sight the b+b might be a bit far to the city but there is a bus at the corner and there are pubs and places to dine close by. Gerry's humour made us feel at home and our rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds extremely comfy so that we fully recovered each time after spending our days...

We stayed at Gil Dun for two nights last weekend. The room (No 1 ground floor) was spotless and beautifully and stylishly decorated. Gerry and Bill were very welcoming and helpful. The city centre is easily accessible either by bus or a 2 mile walk to Waverley Bridge. Despite being just off the Dalkeith Road, it was a very quiet...

Stayed 2 nights in Gil Dun guest house and loved it! It is situated about 20 min walk (but there is a lot of buses too) to the centre in a great area with lovely eateries. Being a bit out of centre meant we could park our car without hassle in one of the 4 allocated guest house car parks....
