Room and hotel clean but seemed to lack atmosphere! Short walk from town centre and plenty parking. Disappointed that no WiFi in room! Did not eat here as seemed so quiet! Bed a bit uncomfortable and pillows very flat! But maybe being too fussy in my old age! WiFi available in bar area.

Booked this hotel for forthcoming golden wedding in October then got a phone call asking if we still wanted to go ahead with the booking as the deposit had not been paid. Untrue as it was paid at time of booking. We had booked for a Buffet to be provided but then asked to speak to the owner regarding a...

Stayed over for one night as hotel I originally wanted was fully booked upon arrival. Warm welcome by staff who I would say are the best thing about the hotel. Old, dated and tatty, room was dirty, ridiculous amounts of filth on the walls and around the radiator which was way to small to heat the room, in the corner...

Decent large room but poor heating so cold at night. Food wasn't available when asked on checking in as the chef had left. No wifi except in the bar so unable to work in your room. Breakfast was cooked fresh on order and was a full Scottish breakfast which was excellent. Two ladies who worked there were very pleasant and...

I stayed here over night in November and the hotel is in a nice quiet location but within walking distance to the town centre. Nice clean room with an excellent breakfast to get up to before I continued with my day.

In 2016 having no wifi in some rooms is unacceptable. The room was cold too.Not a place for a business stay! When I asked they said the wifi only works downstairs.Would not stay here again. The staff were pleasant enough I have to say...no blame on them.

We stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be ok. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was our room had no window. The shower was good in the room. The location was good we walked to the town in fifteen minutes

It is really sad that there are places like this that continue to take advantage of travelers unaware of how bad this place really is... Hotel was badly in need of some help, rooms not clean, inexperienced staff and management couldn't give a crap. We were to stay for three nights - got into our room and it didn't take...
