Stayed 2 nights due to wedding. Whilst the bedroom was modern looking the bathroom was very dated and could do with revamp. The door to our room was scratched badly and did not give a good impression. The hallways could also do with a freshen up. The breakfast was very good with a fabulous selection.

Thank you for your review, I am pleased to see you enjoyed your first stay with our hotel. While I'm the first to admit we may look a little tired in some areas, our staff work extremely hard to ensure all areas of the hotel remain spotlessly clean. With a refurbishment scheduled to commence shortly, I am fully confident that...

We stayed at this hotel on Saturday the 11th of Feb 2017 for a one nights stay using an Itison voucher which included dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, we had an early check in and headed to our room. The corridors to the hotel and general outlook of the...

Considering it was an on spec Friday night booking for the Saturday I was really pleased with my choice. Right from the welcome at reception, the bar staff through to housekeeping, everything was great. Really relaxing. Great gardens which will be really nice in better weather (it was freezing and blowing a gale when we were there). Stayed for an...

Excellent room with views to the Solway Firth. Place clean and kept that way daily. Food was breakfast and evening bar meals. The breakfast was a buffet with a wide range of cereal and cooked food. The evening bar meal had a wide choice and the portions were huge. The staff were all most pleasant and helpful and I have...

This was an "Itison" deal for an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Absolutely delighted with the whole experience. We had a ground floor room(30) which I had requested, with a small patio area with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the pond and gardens. The room was a good size as was the bathroom (good quality complimentary toiletries). A...

Only stayed one night. Staff great and really helpful. Food was excellent. Breakfast a really good range offerings. I had cooked breakfast which was great. The room comfortable and a reasonable size but a bit tired. The original building is lovely. My only real moan is the motorway which was less than 200 metres away at some points. I realise...

An unexpected stop on a long journey brought us to the Gretna Hall. Cheap deal booked on line, we were just looking for a bed for the night. Room was OK, half decent bed that was a bit saggy in the middle. TV reception was pretty dreadful and the WiFi signal was just about non-existent. The shower was no better...
