Stayed here for 2 nights. Very impressed with this B&B, rooms were beautiful, well stocked (a hot chocolate on arrival after a long drive was just the ticket) and wifi had good connection. Loved the feather pillows and duvet, slept as well as at home. Breakfast was variable, but on the whole a very nice place to stay and good...

Last minute booking as my normal stops were full or over budget. The staff are second to none Room with enough suite, clean the bedding even smells of fabric softener. Proper toilet paper Pre order your breakfast the night before, it's cooked to perfection Nice homely feel Only down side, is that it's about a 15min walk into town on...

Travelling through Dumfries on our tour of Scotland we stayed here one night in August. What a beautiful house..designed by a pupil of Charles Rennie MacIntosh apparently. We loved the little touches throughout such as door plates and copper rubbings. our room was number 8 at the back which has its own front door That suited us. Loved the decor..tartan...

Was spending just one night in the town and needed somewhere convenient to stay. Found Rivendell on the internet and booked it and was glad I did. Friendly, helpful and cheerful staff, a small but very comfortable room (I did book a single in fairness, but the bed was huge and comfortable!) with all amenities. The building is impressive inside,...

The bath room was great and there was plenty of space in the room to put bags. The internet connection was good. Slept very well and woke up to a nice breakfast which was ordered the...

Spent two nights in this lovely wee place and would concur with the many previous 5-star reviews. Friendly welcome from Bruce then all staff cheery and helpful throughout. We had room 7, the only room without an ensuite bathroom but we had the key to our own private facilities across the hallway. Room very spacious, clean and comfy, with and...

This small hotel is a perfect location if you are doing the southern coast of Scotland. It's right off the main road. The staff was great. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was great, with a nice shower and comfortable beds. Good value for the money.
