We arrived after cycling 40 miles to find there was no shower for campers, considering all the other reviews we actually found Alistair quite friendly and helpful, the food was pretty tasty too, it is pretty basic and untidy, the pub could do with a lick of paint and if some money was invested in the site, I.e, decent toilet...

Stayed at Tibbie's for a weekend and had a thoroughly great time, wonderful scenery and ambience just what one would expect in the location with respect to the people and the property. Do not expect to see a Marriot or high priced spa hotel but what you do have is warm, homely and welcoming. Had a fantastic meal cooked by...

I was walking the Southern Upland Way and I spent one night in a single-room. For walkers it is a great place to stay, you get a huge breakfast and the choice for dinner is good. The area is fantastic!

Having been to this pub on a couple of occasions before, I was looking forward to a lovely lunch once more. I was a little disappointed on arrival that the interior has deteriorated, and now looks quite shabby, however, I thought the lunch would more than make up for the decor! Having chosen the Haggis Tweeds with onion chutney, I...

We turned up to Tibbie Shiels Inn on Sunday 20th September, after they had hosted a Triathlon, so several hundred people had just left the camping area. We received a very friendly greeting from the owner, Alistair, and set up our campervan in the deserted campsite. The tranquility of the place was amazing. We missed the live music on the saturday,...

Really nice place to camp. However, it relies on just that. The facilities are very limited and cleanliness poor. Other reviews tell the story well, lots of junk lying around, with a bit of effort it could be fantastic. The food was very good but the cobweb strewn bar area is a bit much! I'd go again, but only as...

We arrived 10 minutes before booking in time. Found a parking space, went to have a look around. The first thing we passed looked like a scrap yard. Round to the back(maybe) to a field. Passing the outside toilets, thankfully neither of us wanted to use them. Walk down to the loch which was lovely, new pier out the view...
