We called in here for an evening meal on a Friday. It wasn't too busy, so we got a table, no problem. There was a good selection on the menu, and a fair selection of house wines at £13.50 a bottle, although the white we got wasn't chilled enough! The food was good and tasty, and the staff were friendly....

Just back from our first stay at The Glens Hotel. Went courtesy of a DealMonster 3 night B&B voucher and expectations were totally exceeded in every way. The hotel itself has been well looked after - very tidy & comfortable, keeping its traditional victorian features. The room was a great size, with all the usual stuff - flat screen TV,...

We stayed at the Glen Hotel when after the second day of walking the Borders Abbey Way. The hotel is on the edge of Selkirk, about 10 minutes walk from the High Street. We had a good welcome from the friendly and helpful owner. The rooms were relatively basic but pleasant, clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant which...

We booked this hotel on a Deal Monster offer and what an offer it was! The owners are very accommodating, friendly and fun. The hotel is spotless as are the ample rooms. We had wonderful weather when we stayed here and I only wish we had more time to send in the area. Would we go again - without a...

Stayed at the Glen for my wife's 60th birthday with family in tow. The hotel is superb & the web pictures do justice to the real thing. The rooms are spacious, clean & tidy considering this is a dog friendly hotel. The hotel meals are top notch as is the wholesome breakfast. Steve & Antoinette couldn't do enough for us...

My wife and I have just returned from our 3rd stay at the Glen (which says it all really). This is a real hidden gem in the borders, perfectly situated for some low level trekking and seeing the countryside. One thing we can't believe is how clean the rooms are despite this being a dog friendly hotel! Not a hair...

What a nice surprise to find an exceptionally clean, well presented and exceptionally friendly hotel, without breaking the bank. The Glen Hotel looks impressive and when you step inside it continues this theme. Wonderfully clean and well presented rooms make for a comfortable nights sleep, beautiful views simply enhance the hotels appeal. Great food and hosts that know how to...

I came to the Borders by chance and was most delighted with the experiences; the real summer weather is the icing on the cake and staying at the Glen Hotel is the cherry on op! I really felt at home there; Steve and Antoinette could not be more helpful; they work very hard to ensure that everyone is comfortable; the...

My family and I stayed there this weekend and had a wonderful time. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and well-kept. They were very welcoming to my children and allowed us to keep baby food and milk in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it.
