A warm welcome and that continued. All the staff were friendly and knew their jobs. A comfortable room with everything we needed. In both the restaurant and the bar the food was excellent. We would happily revisit.

Unfortunately, during a recent visit we were unable to properly sample the hotel's delights during a recent visit. Rather taken by the smartness of the building and the menu we went in with the intention of having lunch. Our choice was also dictated by the fact the hotel had parking facilities and, as one of our party had mobility problems,...

stayed one night on start of our St cuthberts walk. The hotel kindly let us leave our car on car park until our return 5 days later. The hotel room was modern and staff very pleasant . We ate in the bar area , couldn't fault the food at all. Very reasonably price for the quality. Just thought the accommodation...

We have eaten at the sister restaurant The Town House many times and enjoyed it but this time we thought we'd try Burt's for a change. We had booked a table but when we arrived in the restaurant there was no sign of any staff. After waiting a while I went in search of someone and found a lady to...

My friend and I stayed here one night during a motorcycle tour. We both found the hotel very comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was nice and clean but could do with a bit of modernisation. We had a meal in the bar which was excellent and the breakfast was also very good. There was plenty of...

Pretty hotel. Good food and nice bar. Older staff ways to familiar and almost rude! She should retire as this is a very bad example for the younger staff!! We were there 3 nights but cancelled 2 dinners due to her attitude. Shame as this is a beautifull setting.
