Afternoon tea today at the Clovenfords Inn. 1 huge pot of tea which was very welcome but one of us did not drink tea, we asked for a coffee and it was courteously provided. The sandwiches were very very tiny, probably about 2" square, and consisted of white and brown bread. There were 6, 2 with chicken mayo, 2 with...

We visited the hotel with friends for a bite to eat and to catch up on news. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and have an excellent knowledge not only of the food they serve but also of the local area. The bar area along with many of the rooms has recently been upgraded and the place has a homely...

Just returned home after a wonderful overnight at this cosy hotel in the beautiful Borders. We had three lovely comfortable rooms between us, and spent a awesome fun afternoon/evening beside a lovely fire mixing with the locals. We enjoyed a delicious meal, and enjoyed numerous diffferent drinks served by the friendly staff. Thank you all for our warm welcome, and...

Stayed here for one night with a Groupon Deal.B&B with wine on arival. The hotel is between Peebles and Galashields in the small vilage of Clovenfords. Not much in Clovenfords apart from the Hotel and a village paper shop across the road. But some good circular walks in the area. The town of Galashields is about 10/15 mins drive down...

We had a lovely weekend staying at the Clovenford Inn. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The meals were great, very large helpings, the Scotch broth and roast dinner were very satisfying after a day out walking. There was live music on Sunday evening which made for a very enjoyable evening. Looking forward to...

Used a voucher for stay in Borders - public areas really fresh and welcome really pleasant. More care though maybe and attention to detail required in bedroom - no mirror near hairdryer, second bedside lamp required, shower slow and drippy, no cup for brushing teeth in bathroom, kettle didn't fit in sink (absolutely fine to decant water with teacup but...

Called with my wife and two grandchildren, we all ordered food, unfortunately my fish wasn't very nice I complained and it was immediately changed for something else on the menu, when I come to pay my bill my meal was taken off and my grandchildren received there ice cream for free. Excellent customer service.

Have visited this hotel many, many times and have never hesitated to go back for lunch or an evening meal. Visited today Sunday 23rd and was so disappointed with the meal, I'm having second thoughts about a return visit. Advised waitress that my gammon steak was raw in the centre. She did say that she would advise the chef, but...

The minute we walked in we got a great welcome from the bar manager. Who I have to say was not only very friendly and helpful, he was immaculately dressed. He not only took obvious pride in himself but also his job and this was very evident, the manager has won a watch with this employee. The hotel has obviously...
