Made very welcome by owner Bryan who gave us great advice about parking and local eateries. We chose the Fishouse Restuarant and his information was spot on. Our room on top floor with sea view was clean, quiet and comfortable. Worth the money for fantastic view alone. Would stay here again for value and location.

I was travelling with my mother, and rented the family room in the Ayres guest house. The room was comfortable and clean, quiet at night. Being on top of the house, we enjoyed gorgeous views of the bay. It's about 10 minutes walk from the train station, along the sea front, again with great views. This guesthouse does not provide... We'd booked a family room for our three nights in Oban. The room was clean and big enough for a family of four. The comfortable lounge was also welcome, although we didn't spend much time there as there was so much to do locally.

Nice little guest house on the sea front. Bedroom was clean and had everything you needed. Bed was comfy, view was lovely, split only by the poor Scottish weather. Close to metered parking and close to all the sights in Oban. Will return at some point.

This guesthouse is in a very nice house with excellent view over the harbour and Isles. It is clean and the beds are good. Unfortunately it has nor charme neither style - its ok but not more. A little bit like a "German Altersheim".

We stayed her for the night this month, the room was lovely and clean and included everything we needed. The room had stunning views of the sea and the hotel is ideally located for the town centre and the beach. Although breakfast is not included they provided fresh filter coffee, tea and cereal bars from 7.30, as well as menus... More

Ayres Guesthouse is very centrally located in the town. It's very comfortable and clean and excellent value for money. Our host was friendly and welcoming, very helpful and informative with his local knowledge. They don't serve breakfast as such but offer a great selection of hot drinks as and cereal bars in the morning. There are places nearby where you... More

We stayed in a sea facing room for 2 nights, they were friendly and helpful. Room had everything we needed, excellent value for money. No breakfast but had very filling breakfast in Wetherspoon near the ferry terminal, so no complaints.

We had a great stay here. Our room was overlooking the harbour and the view couldn't be beat. Our room was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and really helpful. Price was reasonable. You don't get a full breakfast in the morning, just cereal bars and coffee, but frankly we were sick of having a full breakfast first thing... More
