Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great food in the bar, generous breakfast included in price. Fabulous views of the loch. The hotel needs a lick of paint and redecorating and it can also be noisy at night with creaky floors and fans or a generator running but otherwise it's a great place

The hotel is in an ideal location in Inveraray on Front Street with a good view of the loch from the front. My room was at the back on the first floor which involved quite a few doors and steps which was not the easiest with a case. The rooms could do with a refresh and there was confused branding...

Loved our room on the second floor which had two windows looking out to the front.Huge room with generous drawer space and wardrobe.Nice flat screen TV as well.Had a 3 course meal on the Sunday and my husband stated the roast lamb was the best he's had in ages. I chose the sizzling steak and cannot fault it.Old style building...

The only redeeming factor in this Hotel is the staff. Sorry, but nothing good to be said about this hotel apart from the view and the staff. Where is the senior management? They obviously haven't set foot in this Hotel for a very long time. I have heard it is now sold so hopefully some much needed investment will rescue...

We booked the argyll hotel after revieving an easy breaks voucher as a gift and thought inveraray would be nice. Inveraray is lovely shame the same can't be said of the argyll. First impressions from outside were "it could do with a lick of paint". Car parking spaces are few and far between. There is a pay and display car...

Altogether an awful experience. we arrived to find that the only paring was Pay and Display. After we had booked in, we discovered that there was a wedding at the Hotel, and as a result, were unable to use the Hotel's dining room. The Bistro Bar was also taken over by wedding guests, so we were unable to use the...

First night arrived to discover local wedding in hotel. Noise continue until 3:00pm with a heavy music beat till well after midnight. Our room was above front door so apart from the noise of shouting revellers there was the smell of cigarettes smoke drifting in the air. Night two perfect sleep in comfortable bed

Stayed here one night on our way to The Hebrides as part of a coach party. The hotel itself is a bit tired and run down but the room was spotlessly clean the only downside was the stairs as we were at the top and it was a bit of a struggle with cases. The staff were friendly and very...

First of all the positives: Staff very nice, food nice and reasonably priced, location lovely. Negatives.: On booking the hotel no mention was made about the stairs and no lift, which was a problem for my mum, we should have been advised there were two floors of spiral staircase. The room was basically cleaned, i suspect a quick hoover and...

This hotel, at least our room, does not deserve the negative ratings I have seen here. It was fine. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel does seem to have an issue with damp, but it IS on the water so it should address it with vigour. The town is VERY small but great fun to explore. We had...
