Just back from a great return trip here. Stayed in caravan I this time. Owner said it was the oldest model BUT, perfect. A lovely, lovely place to relax with amazing views and surrounding area for walking/cycling.
Couldn't fault a thing!

We stayed for a 3 night break in one of the pet friendly lodges. We arrived around 2pm but no one at reception, just a note to say, we could find our key in lodge.... which was fair enough as our lodge was easily found....More
This is our second time at Appin holidays and we really enjoyed it (in Caravan K). The caravan is clean and cosy, just on the bank of the lake. We stayed over there last October/November and it was wonderful- nature, lake and sound of peace....More
Very nice place to use as a base for seeing the area. Lodge very cosy.
Quiet place with excellent pub/restaurant within walking distance and others not far away.
Kitchen sufficient for a holiday. Good parking adjacent to lodge.
Would certainly come back again

Sorry I only just noticed your question. I think the caravans are on a slight slope. Cars are not allowed outside the caravans but only a very short walk away. I think all the caravans have slopes going up to the door rather than steps. I would imagine he would be fine. Hope this helps.
