The house itself is grand albeit it is in need of some talc but to be honest that's no problem, everything was very clean, rooms all well... More

The features of the house are beautiful, especially the staircase. Me and my boyfriend stayed in room number 5 which was the biggest of all (best room to stay in) We slept perfectly... More

Large property in need of some tlc, clean enough and everything was in order. Each room has on suite which is a bonus. Sky tv and Wi-Fi was good, snooker table, table football Only gripe really was the lack of some facilities listed, such as gym equipment.

As a family party of 5 couples celebrating a birthday, we stayed at Castleton House from 1-7 June 2014. All of us were impressed by the enchanting property and the attractive gardens. Each bedroom was beautifully arranged and each having the privacy of its own bathroom was an advantage. We made use of all the rooms downstairs and enjoyed a... More

I booked this via Sykes Cottages as a luxury escape for my family of four. We hired the entire hotel (self catering), so that we had privacy and plenty of space. Castleton House is an ideal country retreat. It is glamorous, private and oh so spacious, from the full size Billiard Room, to the Four Poster suite, we used and... More

The house needs updating in nearly every room as the owner David, is running it into the ground after it is not a hotel anymore. It's very tired looking, scuffs marks all over the... More
