Did not start well as we found it difficult to find the main entrance ! There is a sign but 4 of us missed it on arrival and we entered via the restaurant and bar and then had to go back outside with a member of staff who pointed us in the right direction. Check in all good, rooms good...

Stayed here on business. Rooms were on the cosy side but really nicely laid out. Very comfortable bed! The receptionist was excellent, check out in a Friday and get a free Crunchie! We ate in the bar which was more than adequate. The restaurant menu looked a bit pricey so we opted to eat in the bar. The menu here...

We have stayed at The Chester on a few occasions and as always it was a pleasure. Our room was clean and tidy, we received a turn down service. The bar is always a treat and the cocktails go down too well. We have booked our next trip already. We didn't have time to dine in the restaurant this time...

Very beautiful, clean room with modern decoration. Great choice if you have expensive taste. Its location is good, about 10-15 minutes walk to the center. The restaurant is great as well. A bit expensive for me, but luckily my company paid for it.

Could not fault the Chester for a joint 80th Birthday afternoon tea. From our original visit to check the suitability of the venue to the afternoon itself, Gary, Emily and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful. The service was excellent but not overbearing. The afternoon tea was of a very high standard and the cakes...

Just one fantastic day of great fun, great friends and wonderful staff. Thanks to Chris and all her staff for making it an unforgettable day (just don't mention the rugby!). Good food and superb service made it a day and night to remember.

Spent only one night. Rooms pleasant and bathroom adequate albeit a superior room is not huge. The highlight of our visit was definitely the superb food and ambience in the hotel restaurant. Headed up by master chef quarter finalist Kevin Dalgliesh. Food was superb! The starter ravioli is to die for. If you are in the area and a food...

We had been looking forward to our meal for some time. Unfortunately the Chester did not live up to expectations. We waited over an hour for our starters. The staff were not attentive enough. For the main course we had to prompt for Parmesan for the pasta which was deemed very bland. My Steak came medium when asked for medium...

I stayed at the Chester whilst in Aberdeen on business- my second visit to the hotel. Have to say, I really like the Chester. It is situated in two beautiful granite townhouses: one with the bedrooms and the other housing the IX bar and restaurant. I previously stayed at the Chester when attending a charity event in the hotel. The...
