Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having see some of the reviews detailing visitors experiences with the staff at this hotel I thought it would be appropriate for me to add my experience. Jack was great, born for customer service, patient, polite and well mannered. The whole staff at the Travelodge far exceeded our expectation of a budget option, upon check in the red headed chap was very helpful and jack behind the bar was just superb. The hotel was comfortable and for the money, just a solid experience for my trip to Aberdeen!

So as per the heading the hotel is located 7 mins walk from the train station and union square.. and is accessible to most places . As with most travelodges the cost is great .food was actually really nice .. yes a bit surprising but pleasantly! There is one downside depending on your room at the weekend the noise outside is excessive not much the hotel can do about it but be warned! The stand out for our stay was Jack ! jack of all trades! Great host barman chef server the lot we actually felt for him doing everything on his own as it appeared..but that does not take away how good he really Is / was .. so if the manager reads this review.. take note!

Not happy with the service. This travel Lodge had a smell of human piss on the stairway. Also the smell of drugs was really really bad. Lots of screaming outside the door, people fighting and screaming nowhere to park my car.

This hotel is so run down it gives you prison vibes as soon as you enter the building. Mold and paint flaking, mattress lumpy, basic bedroom for what’s advertised. We couldn’t wait to check out as soon as we arrived.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Nice, clean hotel and my room was good. Staff were very helpful especially the hotel manager who helped me with directions and advised the food at the hotel which was a good choice. I would not hesitate to come back.

Stayed here last week. Reception staff was helpful at check in & checkout. Room was decent and everything was close by, was in room 204, which was enough for a 1 night stay. It is subject to alot of outside noise from nearby clubs and bars. The noise did come right through til about 2am but that can't be helped. City centre hotel this sort of thing can be expected.

We stayed one night here and were woken up 3 times with other guests partying, shouting, fighting and banging doors and walls in the corridor. I didn’t feel safe at all fearing this could escalate and reach our room or our children’s room next door. The length that the noise and disturbance went on, I don’t think reception or hotel management intervened in way to reduce it or stop it. Not a great nights sleep at all so wouldn’t recommend this hotel if that’s what you’re after.
