The Colwyn is a short walk from Aberdeen Bus and Rail Station and only a 20 minute drive from Aberdeen's International Airport. Our aim is to make your stay, however long or short, an enjoyable one. There are 24 rooms in all and many also have en-suite bathroom facilities. For your relaxation the hotel has a Resident's Bar with a choice of wines, spirits and draught beers. We can also provide bar meals.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
I've stayed here many times because I'm an offshore worker and need cheap digs for 1 night a month. This is ok for what i need. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE YOUR MRS OR FAMILY THERE. Unless they enjoy having no luxuries such as nice decor, clean surroundings and toilet paper (yes when I stayed once there was no toilet paper in the whole place).

We booked 2 rooms, neither of the rooms had heaters. The rooms were provided with portable heaters, which gave no heat at all. We shivered almost all night. At first glance the rooms looks spacious and nice, but the furniture and bed linen are extremely worn, torn and stained. The whole place had a smoky smell to it, despite being non-smoking. Breakfast includes cereal (which did not look fresh) and toast with Tesco Jams in bottles. When asked for serviettes after breakfast, the guy rummaged around for 15 minutes and came back with Kitchen towels! The staff was friendly, helpful and polite, and the location is ideal, but that’s about it. Do not go there in winter expecting a warm stay.

Worst Hotel in Aberdeen, don't stay unless you've got chronic depression and are in need of a good laugh cause this place is a joke, guest house paradiso ain't got a patch on this!! Had a sore back for a week now because was forced to sleep on "bed" that wouldn't be out of place in a Viet cong POW camp, room either roasting hot or how I would imagine an expedition of the Antarctic would leave you feeling!!

I must admit I couldn't bring myself to actually stay here. I had pre-booked a room but when I arrived the man there said he hadn't prepared the room as he had lost the keys, I followed him into the kitchen as he looked and was deeply shocked at the state of it, the greasy grime and heaps of stuff. The carpet in the main entrance hall and stairs hadn't been vacuumed for a while either. Then he astonished me by getting a step-ladder to break into the room from the outside and could we come back in 15 minutes! So were we to sleep in an unsecured room and get in and out by step-ladder

"If i go to aberdenn i would certainly call them first before i look elsewhere, if you are also on a budget this hotel would be good. So expect what you pay for is what you get."

"1A - 5 are premium suite at great rates. £25 a night for a hotel in Aberdeen is great value and you will be offered 7 nights for 5 if requested I'm sure"
