Arriving to Aberdeen with my bike, at the beginning of my bike tour, and after finishing, I enjoyed the perfect hospitality of our host, John Mackay, providing us also a shelter for our bike box, and helping us in everything we needed. Just the best way to remember Scotland!

Aldersyde Guest House in Aberdeen has not only a very convenient location, close to train station and to the center of the city, but is situated in a calm leafy street with easy access to all services needed. The host John MacKay has been very helpful in many ways: i.e. storage for bike shipping cartons, organizing cabs, printing out boarding...

The room was nice and we really enjoyed the continental breakfast. The owner treated us to a traditional scottish breakfast on the last day (first time to try black pudding!). Thanks for the hospitality. We recommend this place to anyone wanting a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

John is a superb host. My daughter and I visited the city in January from Portugal as she had to decide which university offer to accept (Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow). Although she ended up choosing Glasgow, John did his utmost to give us as much information as possible about Aberdeen, the surrounding area, the uni and sports. Knowing that she...

I have been 4 nights in this B&B. The owner John is very friendly and helpful. Everything is clean (I think the cleanest accommodation I have been until now), well maintained and the quality of the breakfast is really excellent.
