The Park Inn By Radisson Aberdeen receives praise for its cleanliness and well-kept rooms, with many travelers finding it to be a good value due to its comfort and prime location near shops and restaurants. While the hotel's amenities and service are generally appreciated for their cleanliness and professionalism, some guests have noted the absence of in-room fridges and expressed concerns about bed quality, noise levels, and occasional service delays.
Despite mixed feelings about room specifics, the hotel's location and cleanliness remain popular highlights.

Detailed Reviews
We had a few things to do in Aberdeen and stayed overnight in Park Inn rather than rush everything in one day. There is limited parking at the hotel so we parked at Chapel Street car park which is a 5 minute walk and costs £1.10 per hour between 8AM and 8PM. The hotel itself is very centrally located within Aberdeen and very close to a great number of bars and restaurants as well as the theatre, music hall, art gallery, etc etc. Our room was a good size, well appointed and very clean and included a mini safe which I think is an essential. In the evening we ate in the hotel's bar area which we enjoyed and in the morning we had a good breakfast in the dining area which set us up for the day. We would definately return.

Stayed here right after re-opening from Covid 19 lockdown. Agree with other reviews re. Uncomfortable bed mattresses. The one other thing I must point out was the charge of £10 if you wished for a breakfast, delivered to your room, which would consist of cold items, that would cost no more than £2-3 if you had bought them yourself.
Hence to say, we did not take up this offer, especially as the establishment across the road was open for cooked breakfasts at half the price.
Staff were indeed very helpful and pleasant and I thought cleanliness was of a high standard.

Response from Frank Whitaker, General Manager at Park Inn By Radisson Aberdeen
Responded 28 July 2020
Hi Clare, Thanks for leaving your feedback on your recent visit. It is great to welcome guests back to the hotel, and I look forward to consumer confidence in travel returning to levels that make it commercially viable for the hotel to offer the same full services that we delivered before COVID-19. Your feedback on how the team is managing the cleanliness of the hotel post COVID-19 is very welcome, thank you, as that is a key element of increased confidence in travelling away from home. Look forward to seeing you again. Thank you Frank Whitaker Geenral Manager

This has always been the go-to place to stay when visiting our daughter up in Aberdeen….not any more.
We always stay in a standard room - it’s clean, affordable and a decent size. This time when we arrived we were given a room that was tiny, not the end of the world but not ideal. I returned to reception and asked if they had a bigger room. I was advised that the only way we could get a bigger room was to upgrade to a premium room at an additional cost of £15 a night. Not a huge amount I know so took them up on the offer.
However, when getting into the so-called premium room I found it to be the normal standard room that we’ve had on every other visit. I feel that to move us they simply took the opportunity to charge us more.
The hotel seemed to be very quiet and I think the lack of staff members maybe backed this up. What was previously a busy bar area was pretty much deserted with reception looking after that area.
On the positives, rooms were clean and well maintained. Beds not too bad, not great either. Really nice shower.
Disappointed in the general way the hotel seems to be going and quite annoyed that they can charge for upgrading when simply not the case.
It’s tough for this type of business coming out of a pandemic, they really need to do more to get people back. It’s in a great location but the poor service will keep people away

I booked two rooms for myself and a colleague to stay for one night each. Due to the Coronavirus threat we cancelled our trip and I went to the hotel website to cancel my booking several days before we were due to arrive. The hotel contacted me just after the date I was due to stay to claim payment for the rooms. I explained that I had cancelled through their website but they told me that they had no record of this, which I see as failing of their website and cancellation procedure. As I didn't receive an e-mail from them confirming my cancellation (also a failing of their cancellation procedure) I couldn't prove that I had cancelled and so had to pay for both rooms.
Given the current climate and sympathetic customer service levels I am seeing and hearing of from competitors to Radisson I was absolutely disgusted by this experience and would openly encourage those I know to avoid the Radisson chain and its associated brands.

Not impressed. Booked a room at £122 only to be told on arrival there was no kitchen open to provide a cooked breakfast. Did get refund, however defeats the purpose. Limited tea and coffee in room, soap dispenser at sink empty. Bed uncomfortable and we ended up leaving at 7am to go home for breakfast. Wont be staying there again.

Very professional, friendly, and polite staff. Really appreciated the phone call up to the room five minutes after arriving, checking if the room was up to standard and if there was anything else we needed. Very innovative and proactive customer service!

Hi ctusti966093, Thank you for your lovely review. It's great to read your feedback about the team, who have been working very hard, often in roles that they wouldn't normally do, since the hotel re-opened to the public. Thank you for your business, and I look forward to seeing you again when you're next in Aberdeen.

+1
Arrived at the hotel, slightly early Thursday. Smiling faces in the reception. As I was early, they kept my luggage, while I looked at the city waiting for the room.
When I got back, I checked in. Very little information provided so I assumed there was information in the room containing the likes of WiFi, gym location, things to see, possibility of room service, transport recommendations and more. Looked all over the room and checked television without success. Needed to ask reception when leaving the room.
After returning home I received information that I apparently should have been informed that I had 10-15% food and beverage discount in the hotel bars/restaurants.
First thing I noticed when entering the large room was a nice view of the city. Lots of windows and very quiet room was nice.
Bed had a stain on the bed linen. The linen looked like it was clean otherwise, so likely blood stain or something similar.
The bathroom was large but overdue of some maintenance. Mould inside and outside of the shower. Stains under the toilet. Did see one bug on the wall outside of the bathroom, hopefully it was only this one. One of the bulbs in the roof light started blinking after being on 1 min.
Saturday, we went for a nice city walk just after early breakfast. Back at the room at approx. 4.30pm for relaxing before going out for dinner. Room had not been cleaned. Had to go down to the reception, ask if there was no housekeeping this day. Should have been cleaned, so we went out again while the room was cleaned.
Breakfast was ok. Not a lot to choose from, but something for all.
The hotel looked clean and maintained in the reception area. Always fresh apples at the desk.
Checkout was easy. 15 min walk to the bus that takes you to the airport.

So, the Park Inn Aberdeen continues to offer room AND breakfast rates directly and via other channels like the travel agency we booked with. HOWEVER, for no other excuse except to save money, they don’t offer a full breakfast. In fact, the offering is a paper bag with a long life carton of juice, a long life croissant, and a warm yoghurt, delivered to your room door. The Receptionist told us it’s because we don’t have the staff anymore. So the hotel has reduced the staff numbers to save money and thus continue misleading customers with advertising of full breakfast when this is not the case. It’s misleading, it’s bad practise and damn right cheeky. The General Manager needs to update their hotel website AND inform travel agencies of the correct offering. So, I took my complaint to my travel agency and the hotel has agreed to refund £6 per person per night for the lack of breakfast. I urge all visitors with “breakfast included” to do the same. Stay elsewhere!

I have stayed here many times before ad been perfectly satisfied except for the fact that it is usually difficult to control the heating in the room which are usually too cold. This time however it appears the restaurant is closed due to lack of staff so there is no inhouse dining or room service option and breakfast is a brown paper bag with a yogurt and croissant in - not what you expect form this level of hotel and certainly not when you have paid extra for breakfast. Don't advertise what you don't have!!

Checked in without issue and only on enquiry was told that they had closed the kitchen so you could only order a continental breakfast (The choice for this was extremely poor). Got back on the 2nd day to find out that my room hadn't been serviced, went to reception and was told that they were only servicing rooms on request due to"covid" (should have been told this at check in). Asked for my room to be serviced the next day and nothing. My colleague also asked for his room to be serviced and he got his bin emptied and nothing else. Paid a lot of money to stay here and if I paid the proper value it would probably equate to £10 a night.
