It was our second experience in this house. I have repeated it because they are friendly owners and more familiar. They accommodated our needs because our visit was for a mountain run. They adapted the breakfast to our needs. The room is very comfortable and very well decorated, you will feel at home Perfect communication prior to our visit and... More

We stayed recent at the Amble Inn as we were down in Newcastle for a wedding and the owners were so warm, welcoming and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are spacious & comfortable and decorated to the finest standard. We woke up after a wonderful nights sleep to a delicious breakfast and Colm was more than... More

Colm & Frances were great hosts. Frances makes the most wonderful hot porridge!! Colm had lots of good advice and in particular regarding the walk up the Mourne Mts which starts close by. We had a wonderful day of walking! The room is simple and nice - had everything we needed. Good Italian restaurant in town. Only 5 minutes walk... More

I was staying on my own to attend a wedding. I couldn't have been looked after better by Colm and Frances. Frances even gave me a lift to the wedding venue. The room was wonderfully cosy, warm and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was perfect, especially the soda and potato bread! I chatted with Colm and Frances for over an hour,... More

I stayed in this fantastic B&B on a family holiday for a few days in Newcastle. The Amble In is a 2-3 minute walk from the main tourist attractions in Newcastle and the rooms are newly renovated with everything we could have ever asked for. Breakfast was very tasty indeed and very good value for money with an incredible view... More

This is the second holiday my 74 year old disabled mother has spent here. The owners Frances and Colm went above and beyond expectations yet again. They made mum feel completely at home, very safe and they provided extra attention and assistance. The room and bathroom were fully accessible, with external ramp access via a separate entrance. We were able... More

We had a one night stop whilst walking up the Donard the next day. Hosts are very friendly and their guest house is homely and clean. A good option for walkers in the area who want the basics done well. It is a short walk to the town centre too. Only a couple of rooms so book ahead.

I needed somewhere to stay for 1 night for a friends wedding. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. I would certainly use this guest house again. Excellent location for anyone wanting on a golfing or walking break.
