Thanks to Dominic and staff for super Christmas breakfast fry for a hungry bunch of cyclists on Sunday morning. Great hospitality and a perfect stop for cyclist with secure bike parking, would recommend to all clubs/groups or individuals.

This is a great place to either have a coffee or food after a good walk around Tollymore. The food is good and they have a great outdoor courtyard where dogs are also welcome which is a nice touch. We were able to meet up with our family who were staying at a lovely local cottage called barneys for lunch...

We made several visits to the modern cafe at Hillyard House over the summer. Fabulous coffee and cakes and super friendly staff who always made us - and our new puppy - feel very welcome. There's a lovely sunny courtyard to enjoy . The menu includes a variety of lunches, including a children's menu. We are looking forward to going...

Today was the second time I have had the pleasure to use the facilities at Hillyard House. I was running a workshop using the conference suite, and every last thing I needed was catered for by friendly and co-operative staff. From my initial contact with Dominic, who helped organise the booking and was there on hand to make sure everything...

Stayed two separate nights in the past week - our first night arriving very early from Canada and they immediately gave us our room so we could have a bit of nap and get out on the trails. And then again last night as we came through Castlewellan a second time. Nothing was too much trouble. Three cheers for Dominic,...

Myself and a number of cycling friends from the Phoenix Cycling Club in Belfast have often dropped into the Hillyard when we are doing a run through the Mournes. The sign outside says 'cyclists welcome' and it does exactly what is says on the tin! A couple of months ago we arrived in soaked through after a heavy shower. Dominic...

Very clean and tidy. Our room was quite large and spacious with a toilet and shower separate (although the toilet was big the shower was quite tight). Right in middle of town. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty although only served from 9am. Absolutely beautiful location right at the gates of castlewellan forest park.

Was staying here as near to conference I was attending. It is a guest house but the service and friendliness of the manager and staff would put some of the big hotels to shame. A real lesson in customer service and it shows. Nothing is too much trouble. The food was great, good size portions and well cooked. The room...

I was over for my mother's funeral and everyone of the staff here were superb. Dominic did everything thing possible to make a difficult time very comfortable and the service at the funeral reception was incredible. Stephen could not have done any more for us and was just brilliant. The food is excellent, the flexibility of the team to ensure...
