I was one of a large party dining in the Merchant on Saturday evening. The menu had been circulated well in advance of the dinner and had been triple with the venue before our diligent organiser distributed to the employees and stated that we make our selection on the night. On arrival we discovered that the selection process had been...

Had our Christmas party night on Saturday 14th December in the Rita Duffy suite and it was very disappointing. Our meal was due to be served at 7.30pm we got our starter at 9pm and they left one of our party out and we had to ask for her food. Soup was ok but others that had the goats cheese...

Well what can I say? We treated ourselves to dinner at the Merchant in the Great Room for Christmas. The staff, from the doorman, the booking staff and the waiting staff were as faultless as always, making us feel important and welcomed. I went for the annisette of quail as starter, the quail itself was delicious if a little overcooked,...

Just had a couple of nights at the Merchant hotel. We stayed there last December and again, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, the staff, service, quality and facilities are second to none and excellent value for money. The location is perfect for walking to the Oddessey, the Titanic experience...

Stayed recently in one of the hotels modern rooms. High spec. room with views over High Street. Very spacious with two TV's, dressing room and large bathroom. Staff very friendly and efficient. Had a couple of drinks in the bar off the main dining area which was relaxing but a bit expensive. Breakfast in the Great Room (I think it's...

I spent 2 days in the Merchant on the 3rd & 4th December and I have to say it was everything I expected and more. I had a brief stay last December but decided to take up the Spa Festive Retreat on this occasion. We stayed in one of the Deco rooms which are beautiful and have everything needed for...

Wow and amazing is how i can describe this hotel; I stayed in the merchant for my annivarsary with my partner and what a hotel. The staff could not have been nicer; we arrived home after dinner to chocolates, ballons and a card from the hotel congratulating us on our anniversary. The food and of course the cocktails were just...

We found the Merchant to be a very nice hotel. The staff at reception and most other areas of the hotel were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself has some very impressive architecture internally in the older portion of the building however we stayed in one of the more modern Deco type rooms which was very large with...

Stayed in Merchant in December, one of the busiest nights of the year in Belfast. We were unable to get any seating in any part of the hotel for food and ended up ordering overpriced room service as every restaurant in the vicinity was booked out. We were residents and this was not acceptable.Staff were very friendly if unable to...
