We had a great experience staying in the Merchant the staff were personal, informative and went out of their way to help us. On arrival we arrived in the entrance to the great room restaurant. We asked where check in was and the guy behind the desk took are bags and took us to the check in desk. Later we...

When I was going to meet a relative who lives in Belfast for a drink suggested the Merchant hotel my uncle went ooh lovely, so I knew I was in for a treat. From the moment I arrived I was overwhelmed by the grandeur and beauty of the building. The owners converted it from a bank and their attention to...

From the moment my daughter and I checked in, the staff were extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. Our room was very luxurious. The beds were so comfortable that my daughter fell asleep watching a movie. We were enjoying it so much that instead of going out to a restaurant in the buzzing Cathedral Quarter, we ordered room service, and it...

The jewel in the now very popular Belfast. A must for anyone wanting a 5 star break to remember. We had a junior suite fully equipped with everything for a luxurious stay...even a cafetière in the room. Bathroom with free-standing bath and enormous shower was incredible. Roof top hot tub was empty! Food in the great room was delicious, packed...

Our family decided this year to gift each other with memories rather than materialistic presents. We booked rooms with the Christmas package of 2 nights. Afternoon tea on Christmas Eve, breakfast on Christmas and Boxing Day, the Christmas dinner at 1 pm in the Great Room. Decorations for Christmas were spectacular, the silver band, the jazz band, what a great...

This is the second time we have had a break in the Merchant, one night only In an Art Deco room on the 5th floor. Everything from the reception, the staff, the room, the breakfast was excellent and hard to beat. One very small negative would be the lack of Bluetooth connectivity to play your own music in your room....

Myself and my husband had a fantastic stay in an art deco room for 1 night. It simply was not long enough. I was blown away from the minute I entered the premises. Everything was 1st class, I couldn't fault it even if tried. I had to hold back the tears when checking out. I simply did not want to...

Just spent a night at the Merchant - too short! The hotel is classified as 5 star and it doesn't take long to realise why. The reception staff are extremely professional without being aloof. The concierge showed us to the room and took time to explain everything. The room - well that certainly was something different - Art Deco, clinically...
