I can not rate this hotel because I did not get in. My flight was delayed and as there was no internet and in the booking did not mention about hours to check in, we arrived at the place 40 minutes late. That is at 23:40. It was raining, it was cold and they did not even open the door...

Adequate facilities and vey clean, and well worth a stay. Staff very helpful and courteous. Within easy walking distance through the park to Cardiff Castle and city centre. Adequate off-street parking facility. No lift.

We love Cardiff and have stayed often. This time was a little different as we were attending a wine tasting and knew it would be good fun but a little drunken. We wanted a hotel not far from the city centre where we could crash out after a long day. The Innkeepers lodge was perfect. We arrived a good few...

Stayed for two nights for a visit to Cardiff. Very good location, an easy walk into the city through the park, or £1 bus ride from stop opposite. If you are not very good with stairs and you end up on the top floor, this place is not for you, as there is no lift. Very polite staff at the...

We stayed for two nights. Location is perfect : just a short walk from Bute Park, city centre and Principality Stadium. There's a continental breakfast included, for a cooked breakfast you have to pay a little supplement. Staff is friendly, rooms are basic but clean and pub and food is good. They even have a parking at the back :...

Used as a stop over on route to visit friends. Must admit was pleasantly surprised with the place although old with plenty of character it is clean and comfortable with a good budget resteraunt / bar. Staff excellent. Very well located for the town and ideally situated. Only downfall if trouble climbing stairs this might be a problem, stairs very narrow...

Had a double room, it was clean, not very big, but enough room, we were only staying one night. Comfy bed, decent shower, tv. Pub underneath the hotel, very busy and lively, but didn't effect our stay. Breakfast was included and is served in the pub downstairs, croissants, pain au chocolate, nutri-grains, fresh fruit, cereals, toast - really nice. You...

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting Cardiff for a Marillion gig. The hotel is situated on a very pleasant road with around a 10 minute walk into the city through the lovely park. The room was basic but ok. Although the bathroom was clean the shower cubicle was incredibly cramped with hardly any room to turn around. The room was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you're looking for hotels in Cardiff, our lodge offers budget accommodation close to the heart of the city. So whether you're here for business or pleasure, you'll be near enough to all the action, yet happily away from the hustle and bustle. The Millennium Stadium is just a 15-minute walk away, as is Cardiff Arms Park, and attractions such as Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay are also within easy reach. While you're sightseeing, how about stepping into the future - or the past - by visiting the Dr Who Experience? Of course, you won't need a Tardis to get to us because the M4 is on the doorstep, and excellent rail and plane connections are just a taxi-ride away. As for the lodge itself, our classic Victorian building was once a rich man's townhouse. Today it's anything but expensive to stay here. With a comfy bed and a cool pint or plate of hearty pub-food available in the pub downstairs, you'll find it offers a great-value base for exploring the Welsh capital. ... more   less
