Had two nights at Jolyons, we had a Suite. Very comfy bed, but the best bit of the room was the bath, just the right size and the taps are so rapid at filling it up. If only the therapy lights were working it would've added to the enjoyment. Nice staff and friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a strange place and my view is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. It is billed as boutique and certainly the converted house it's in would fit that category, but doesn't fulfill the promise of their website. They promote stylish rooms with funky furnishings - well my room 305 certainly wasn't funky - it...

Stayed for one night as attending a concert. Had booked via a booking website and was initially shown a different room from what we had booked but this was quickly resolved by the receptionist. The room was not boutique unless mismatched cheap furnishings would qualify as such. Surfaces were dirty and the four poster had parts missing. The carpet was...

Excellent location. Welcoming yet unatentive once checked in. Staff(bar) confused and lacked knowledge in regards to other places to eat. Conflicting information on menu times and organisation. Smoke alarms went off early morning and I picked up phone in room to call reception and no number to call downstairs. No one came to inform or reassure us and eventually returned...

Sorry but it's not really boutique it's more tired, shabby hotel. The staff were friendly. The room was just very un interesting with cheap plastic bedside tables. The bathroom had a bulb not working and the socket near the dressing table didn't work properly. It's costly so you'd expect better. And the "butter" at breakfast was cheap synthetic spread. Sorry...

We chose Jolyons as we wanted to stay in an independent hotel near the centre, and having looked at the website we were very much looking forward to our stay. The receptionist and bar staff we met during our stay were lovely and very helpful to us. Breakfast was also good and the bar area is nicely decorated. The suite...

We stayed here for the rugby. Good location. Nice room. Pleasant staff. The room was a decent size and on the surface looked good. The was water, coffee and biscuits in the room. However the room lacked a bit in cleanliness, no mattress or pillow covers. The room was cold and I had to call for a member of staff...

We booked in advance at Jolyons No 10 for an overnight stay as part of our journey of traveling South East Asia. We were looking for a quiet hotel that was functional with wifi as we still need to work on the road and we were incredibly happy that Jolyons provided this. The hotel has a 'boutique' feel with beautiful...

Really unique and cute place. It's a really unique and comfy boutique hotel. Good service from the check. Nice atmosphere and a super comfy room. Big bath and plush bathroom. Not much of a view; an office block directly opposite from room 303 with people peering directly into our room so we kept the curtains closed the whole time. Otherwise...

I stayed here for just one night, on Sunday, whilst visiting this week on business. Its comfortable, cosy, a bit quirky, very boutique. I liked the bar/reception area in particular - lots of lovely reclaimed furniture in an elegant quaint/modern old house setting. I really liked my room, 301. it was comfortable, well appointed, complete with a four poster. it...
