Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The dinner saved was disgusting, tasteless and low quality. The team is not cared about the customers feelings - all have one sentence only to tell, will inform the manager. Then what !!!. I am just wondering if they dont have a good chef or the items ordered, why are they accepting the order and taking money.. Dessert looks like an experiment done by a kid while trying to learn cooking, which I received instead of carrot halwa. Charging 19 pound, even not worth for 5 pound..

Hotel's Favourite
Extremely good budget hotel located on motorway (M4) services. Good room, very decent buffet breakfast and excellent price (only £53). Will stay here again when I am next in the area ***Tip - if you don't fancy the hotel food or normal motorway services food, then there's actually a Toby Carvery on the business park about 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. I only found it by chance as my sat-nav sent me on a bit of a detour. Strange location for a Toby Carvery all the same***

After being held up on M4 due to horrendous weather & long delays, I realised I wasn't going to make my destination on time, and pulled into services & requested an unplanned overnight stop at this Hotel. The room was clean, spacious and bed was very comfortable, with no noise or disturbance notable from Motorway etc. Overall very good value & reasonably priced too.

A mate booked some rooms here for one night back in Sept 2023 as we were heading to a concert in Cardiff Bay. Finding the hotel is fairly easy - just off the M4. There was plenty of parking and you register your car when you check-in. We were allocated our rooms quickly, which were all on the first floor - you can take the lift or opt for the stairs. The rooms were a good size, with a good size bed, hanging space, desk and chair. It was a hot evening and so we had the window open all the time - wasn't too bad considering how close to the M4 the hotel is. The bathroom was a good size too. A walk in shower (not over a bath) which I prefer, with. good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Didn't opt for breakfast - one of the others did and liked it. There's a good lobby area downstairs with a pool table and drinks to buy if you need them. There's also the petrol station opposite and Burger King too. It was about £15ish for an Uber into Cardiff Bay just in case you want to use this as a base to explore further. Overall, a good stay for a good price and would definitely consider again if we need a good value place.

I had an issue with my shower and Masudur was so helpful! Nothing was too much to ask. He is a real asset to your hotel. I will come back because of him. I hope to see him again soon. It’s people like him that make experiences.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, the amenities are good, and the rooms always very clean. A basic hotel, good value and within easy reach of Cardiff centre. Special shout out to Ramish who was very helpful and kind to us this trip.

My room was very comfortable and very clean - excellent value for an overnight stop. Staff were really helpful. It was very quiet, too, despite being next to the motorway. The tea and coffee facilities were very welcome, as were the toiletries.

Honestly, the worst experience in a hotel ever. We traveled from bristol for my boyfriends birthday, got to the hotel and they said they couldn’t find the booking, we were sat waiting for 20 minutes. After going back and forth a few times they gave us a key to a room, which ALREADY HAD SOMEONE IN!!!!! We walked into some poor fella trying to relax in his room!! We then went back to reception and they then gave us a room with 2 single beds after having paid for a double room, we had to push our beds together:( .

The place was basic as anything. I guess perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. The one thing you do need to know is that you MUST check your car in whenever you enter the grounds. We entered it upon arrival and that was that. Then a little while ago received a PCN for a substantial amount of money because when we left the following day to do some activities we weren’t made aware we needed to check the car back in. We appealed but to no avail. Not impressed at all. A shame really because the only upside to the place was that the staff were quite lovely.

Disappointed, and frustrated after getting to hotel appx 9 pm after 3 hr drive, to get to room and find that only TV channels 1(BBC1) and channel 2 (BBC2) channel 4 (S4C) with channel 9 (BBC4) which were actually 'tuned in'. Simple thing not attended to by anyone. As showered and undressed, with no phone to reception in room, there also no way of contacting the desk without again getting dressed and going downstairs. With nothing else to do I then took a closer look at the room-which not as simple a task as it may seem as the subdued room lighting redolent of a pub hiding what is not wanted to be sent in the minor low-light gloom.... No TV choice worth a toss (missing Scotland-England 150 year encounter) and on the most fleeting inspection see that the bedsheet is very well worn (i.e. has holes worn in them - possibly a green / sustainable 'initistive' by ibis in prolonging life of its assets?) which in absence of preferred TV channels, the photographing of these worn and holed sheets becomes the highlight of the late evening! On a positive note, the only member of staff downstairs was good although the restricted printed menu for food was further reduced by some items not being available... Can't wait to see what 'surprises' breakfast brings in the morning!
