Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always stay here when visiting my son at Uni, loads of car parking space and short walk into town, always clean with friendly staff quick check in, only minus you can here the people in the room above which disturbed our sleep.

We booked a family room for 2 teenagers and 1 mum to share. Both the double bed and single bed (sofa) were very comfortable with clean, white bedding. Room and bathroom very clean. Nice lighting in room also. Adequate towels were left for us all and we requested extra pillows that were delivered to our room in a plastic bag (for hygiene) and social distancing was observed by the staff.
Staff on reception were very helpful and able to advise of places to park in the Cardiff Bay Area when asked.
Good systems appear to be in place to make the hotel Covid secure.
We stayed here before for a university open day and found the hotel convenient to access the city. The free parking is a bonus here too.

Stayed for one night with my wife and 2 children in a family room. Location good, quiet but fairly central, could walk to centre and Cardiff bay in around 30 minutes or 5/10 minute drive. Room was quiet and no disturbances, large room and comfortable beds. We did request a cot and a travel cot was in the room, this was made up with sheets although it didn’t have a mattress. I’m not sure if you were supposed to bring your own, but didn’t recall seeing anything when booked. We didn’t query at hotel as we just improvised and folded the legs down on one of the single beds, so this was ok for my youngest to sleep on. Room was on the first floor and couldn’t see any lifts, not an issue for us however if mobility issues be aware of having a ground floor room and possibly one close to reception as some rooms a bit of a walk. Pre booked breakfast at the Beefeater next door, was ok for price (kids free with adult), did book table before stay as advised, although only one other group having breakfast when we did.

Good clean hotel
What you expect from a premier inn

Although located on part of an industrial estate its very popular
And only a short taxi ride into town Or bay(5mins.) You can walk it in about 15 mins. Depending on where you want to go

The pub next door has great staff and coping well with the social distancing rules

Weather you want a bite to eat or just a few drinks they are all very helpful

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights mid week in August. I choose this hotel due to being only an easy 15 minute walk into the city centre, a bargain price as well as having free parking. Our hotel room was lovely, although a little warm, meaning we had to have the fan on all night. Apart from that the room had everything we needed and we slept well each night. There was always plenty of space in the car park and the staff at the reception were inviting and friendly. The cleaners too deserve a massive shoutout for clearly working extremely hard and keeping the rooms immaculate. Thank you - we will be back when we are next in the city!

Booked here for our base during a long weekend in Cardiff. It's a bit far out of the town and the bay but as we dont mind walking so this was fine by us as it was only 20 mins to each. We did get a taxi into the town one night which cost £6 so not too bad.
We chose this hotel as parking was included and most hotels in Cardiff charge to park.

The room was comfortable and clean although it was looking a little tired. We did find the room very hot when we entered so we had to open the window to get some air and put on the provided fan! There is tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of refills available at reception.

We didn't hear any noise so for us the sleep quality was excellent.

It's a Premier Inn and you get what you pay and expect, but In this one the staff on reception were always happy and helpful.

Have stayed at this particular hotel before – always fine previously (as you tend to know what to expect with Premier Inn). On site pub / restaurant could do with a bit of a refurbishment. Site near to centre (10 – 15 minute walk). Parking on site is a good feature. Staff very polite and helpful. Visited under Covid-19 arrangements and felt the changes to the room and extra cleaning routines etc. were generally re-assuring. Unfortunately our stay this time was spoiled by a disturbed night. Room 101 (!) which is above reception and office area. Lots of noise during the night, doors banging, two people talking and TV noise. We thought it was probably duty staff as corridor doors have gas fittings so are silent closing, but as one would expect staff to keep the noise down at night it could have been anything. Reported in the morning as soon as we were up, staff apologetic and said it would be investigated, stated it would be covered by the “good night guarantee” though they could not enact this there but we should contact guest relations. Did so – two weeks for a response which then told us to phone – did so. Apparently T&Cs (small print) state guarantee not valid unless issue is reported as it occurs. As no phone in the room (perhaps Covid-19 response?) this suggests that a guest, perhaps a female travelling alone, would have to go to or through the site of the disturbance in order to report it, even if it was for example a late night drunken issue in reception or negotiate potentially aggressive individuals in the corridor / stairwell in order to report an issue to staff. This is patently nonsense. Shame on you Premier Inn.
I suggest you should get rid of the good night guarantee as it is not fit for purpose – even your staff apparently think it is something other than is actually the case!
So all sorts of issues here, staff training / awareness of terms of service, phones in rooms to contact staff, response times to concerns (I note you can book immediately – it is only if you have a concern you have to wait two weeks for a response), and most importantly guest health and safety.

Despite paying full amount in advance for breakfast online at the time of room booking, when we checked in, lady1 at the reception asked us to come back after some time to “book breakfast slots”. Not being aware of this, we returned after couple of hours, lady2 told us that all slots were full, she could not offer us any slots and it was “common sense” to go to many other places for breakfast elsewhere. After we asked her to check for slots availability for other days, she reluctantly checked and then gave us slots for 3 of our 4 days stay. We don’t understand this policy for first taking payment in advance and still do a first come first server basis of booking slots. Very disappointed as our previous experience with premier inn have been faultless. Stay/rooms itself are OK.

2 rooms booked, 1 accessible & 1 double room. Rang hotel directly to make sure the double room was next door to the accessible room with the adjoining door open. Accessible room was for my 24 year old son who has cerebral palsy, learning disability & epilepsy. He relies entirely on us for all his personal needs, we are his carers, this is why we needed the adjoining room. Rang the hotel the Friday before we were due to arrive on the following Monday to ask if we could drop off the hoist if we arrived before 4pm check-in time.We were assured we had the double room next to the accessible room & if we arrived earlier than 4pm we could drop off the hoist. Arrived on the Monday at 5pm, after a 5 hour journey to be told the double room had been given to someone else & we could not have the adjoining room. I explained my son could not be on his own through the night due to his condition but the receptionist was not concerned just said we couldn't have that room. I requested a full refund only to be given a card & told to contact the address on it, which I later discovered was now unobtainable. Everywhere was booked up, unable to get another accessible room anywhere so we had to turn around & drive for another 5 hours back home. The receptionist was neither use nor ornament, didn't offer to ring around anywhere, or any kind of assistance. Left us stranded. I will never trust this company again. I do not believe the statement that they give disability awareness training to all their staff.

I stopped here for 4 nights, the location of the hotel was a 20 minute walk from the town centre. The hotel is in a quiet part of the city, with a restaurant next to the hotel.
The room was what I expect but the window did not open and the extractor fan did not take stale air out the room so after a shower the room was hot a humid making a good night sleep difficult.

I was unhappy I had to register my car details with a 3rd party company, the parking is advertised as free.
