Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel was basic but I got everything I needed from the room and facilities. The room had an en suite and a television which was nice. The bed was comfortable. The room had air conditioning which was a nice touch.

Property's Favourite Review
We stayed one night and were looking for cheap and cheerful. The room was clean and functional and the staff were welcoming. We had read mixed reviews and wre a bit worried but it was spot on. Carpets in stairwells could do with a good wash and the carpet under the bed wasn’t the cleanest when pushing the beds together for a double but the tv loo and shower were all sparkling as were the beds and linen. Defo would stay again

I’ve stayed at a few budget option recently and this was by far the best nights stay I had. The parking was free and secure, the room was clean and quiet. The reception staff were friendly and warm upon arrival. The corridors weren’t pristine, thought the overall experience was the best I’ve had by far, hence the 5star review. Just what I needed, thank you!

I guess this was a case of getting what you pay for. Lovely modern room with nearly everything you need. But be prepared to sleep on a hard mattress with only one pillow and whilst lying there trying to get to sleep you can listen to your neighbours using their toilet.

Clean and cozy rooms. Yes a little on the small size but honestly most of the time do you need more? Wish we had a more time to try the bar, everything felt a better than we anticipated and looked inviting. If we didn't have food planned would have also definitely tried their breakfast. Overall a solid place to stay at, would definitely pick this as an option elsewhere, feels like it's making day out trips a little more accessible again in the UK.

Cheap and cheerful. Friendly staff. My partner and I booked accessible room 7 for a work trip. It was great for our needs. It would have been better if the water could drain in the wet room. It was uncomfortable to crawl through that in the night. I took a kettle and the staff kindly lend me a mug to make tea. The room would benefit from a chair as we need to sit down to take our legs off! I would be happy to return though.

Room Tip: Take a kettle if you like a brew. Make a note of the car park exit code before you leave.

For a one night stopover it’s perfect. Yes, the room is small, single beds, toilet close to bed and all that, but if you are just laying your head down for a night what more do you want? Staff are great, decent glass of red and the foods good. Got to drive through the leisure centre to get to the parking, but that’s free which is a pleasant bonus. For what you pay, and what you expect, it’s perfect. Been twice, will go again.

If you are reading this you probably either work for Premier inns or you are looking for a hotel in Cardiff. If it’s the later and you are looking for an overpriced room( with more than a passing resemblance to a prison cell) at the back of an industrial estate on the outskirts of Cardiff then look no further. The only redeeming feature was a large car park and given the extortionate cost of the room and the indescribably uncomfortable bed I would have been better off sleeping in the car park next to my car .The staff were very pleasant probably because they felt sorry for the inmates ,sorry guests.

Visited family and felt too tired to get on the motorway to drive home so booked a room at Zip. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. Tiny but perfectly formed! Comfortable bed, lovely pillows and duvet, warm room, power shower, wifi and tv. Vending machine for snacks and drinks. I arrived after midnight but there is a bar and a decent selection of meals if needed. Breakfast offer for £4.50 was good. I had a hot chocolate and a veggie sausage brioche bap served with a smile. No window in the room I was in so there was a lightbox instead! Loved that as it was a good option to use instead of the bright room lights. No kettle in room but didn't bother me. Ironing room down the hall. Towels in room and Baylis&Harding toiletries. Very minimalist feel to the room which felt good. Lobby/lounge/ bar area has wide screen tv and an area where yoy can sit and use laptop etc. Everything I needed and the low level lighting and chilled background music was perfect for me.
