Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing staff especially Lucy, nothing too much trouble. Everyone goes above and beyond to help to make stay comfortable. I have stayed a few times at this hotel. Worth every penny.

The harvester opposite in perfect location and if you are still hungry reception has a vending machine for those late night snacks.

Very quiet location.

We booked a family room for two nights on a Friday & Saturday while visiting Cardiff for a swimming competition. Received a good welcome, room was good and clean. Harvester next door is very handy. Will definately return and recommend.

Me and my parents stayed here and although we were impressed at the value for money, someone decided to let themselves into our room while we were sleeping. I’m completely shocked. Would not return. Not to mention the strong smell of urine in the shower.

We had a lovely stay while visiting for my daughter's graduation. The hotel team were very welcoming and we were having a laugh together withing minutes of arriving, it was like we knew them for ages. The room was fresh smelling and everything was clean and tidy. Everything worked as we would have expected. We stayed on the hottest two days of the year and record tempretures were exceeded but the room was not overly hot or stuffy. An electric fan was in the room so this was put on the window cill, plugged into the heater socket (which we obviously didn't need) and the window behind the fan was opened. This drew fresh, cool air into the room from outside "perfect". Only two sachets of coffee but only had to ask at reception and we had some more. Lovely people

Stayed here for 3 nights. Expected it to be noisy in the morning from other guests or cleaners but it was lovely & peaceful. Friendly reception. Clean & comfortable. Parking was a bit limited but we're able to park in adjacent restaurant car park.

Cardiff Llanederyn Travel lodge is great value for money and Tricia (the Manager) and her the staff are always very professional , friendly and welcoming. I would not stay anywhere else when I go to Cardiff. There is everything you need on site including free and safe parking, with the added bonus of a Harvester next door to have either supper and / or breakfast. I have been staying at Cardiff Llanedeyrn since 2019 and do block bookings at the beginning of the year. It has easy access from the M4 and A48.

The hotel is in a great location in Cardiff just off the M48 / M4 and close to the park / ride into the Cardiff City centre. I stay at this hotel on a regular basis as my son in based in Cardiff for work and his degree course. I break my journey to mid Wales staying at this hotel. The rooms are always clean and well aired when I arrive. the staff are both welcoming and very helpful. They are also very professional if you have any queries or requests upon arrival. I have been staying at this hotel since June 2019 since my son moved to Cardiff from Chesham in Bucks and would not consider any other Travelodge location in Cardiff as this hotel always meets requests to have a room on the non M48 side. I have stayed there with my 2 godchildren from Zurich (aged 11 and 9 years old) and they loved the hotel room and remarked how lovely and patient the staff were as the children had been only learning English for 4 months. I have recommended this Travelodge to my friends and family in Mid and North Wales if they ever visit Cardiff.

The hotel has around 30 bedrooms. Rooms are clean and not worn out as others have stated. Bathroom had mould on bath bath sealant. Obviously maintenance isn't top of the list.

Bedroom windows gathered a lot of condensation so probably need extractor fans installed in the bathrooms. Fittings like soap dispensers feel cheap.

We stayed here and had breakfast at the Premier Inn Cardiff north which was a 5 min drive. The adjoining Harvester isn't open until 11.30 most days.

Recommend this hotel if you want somewhere cheap to stay about 15 mins from Cardiff city centre but not if you want a flash lobby...

Staff was friendly, but the room was basic. Paying over £80 a day you would expect aircon, fridge, hair dryer and refills / new towels every day. No. Room service was inconsistent. Room was hot. We were given an electric fan. TV reception was very bad, channels flick all the time. We had a bag of food and the cleaner thought it was rubbish and threw it away. They don't provide meals and harvester next door was mediocre and expensive. Sorry but the best bit is the staff also you get a toilet and a shower. Although the hotel is very basic, the rooms and the reception areas are kept clean.

have been booking and using travelodges for over 5 years all up and down britain booking 5/6 per year. original stay was cardiff m4 booked 2 months got there and told all booked and could we move here agreed to move. arrived at the hotel and utterly disgusted- mould on the ceiling, hair in the bed, pubic hair in the bath, faeces stained on the towels, breakfast not to served we'd recieve in a box and were weren't going to be recieving the wifi password till head office had agreed our transfer but id already got a wifi with my original booking which i had paid extra for at the time of booking!! complaint to the hotel nothing only an apology. 2nd complaint to the hotel. apology and moved rooms to a disabled room and that was equally as bad. back to the reception to be asked if we could be moved one of the other 3 travelodge hotels in cardiffs the answer was no but i was able to be transferred here. we requested a refund hotel agreed then in further conversation told had to be another department. went back to receptionist as really not happy daughter has health conditions and became extremely upset we asked for help to source another hotel as we had no internet and they hadnt gave use the wifi connection to be told a blunt NO!! in the end we got a refund after really getting cross and the. having to find another hotel last minute. I have also 3 videos of the poor unsanitary conditions of the hotel rooms. now do t gwt me wrong i know its a tracelodge and the ritz but noone should be expected to sleep with mould on the ceiling or come into whats suppose to be a clean room with pubic hair in the bottom of the bath. staffs attitude was extremely poor and that of oh well couldnt be arsed!! never ever will we again book a travelodge
