We have stayed at the little guest house on numerous occasions and find it a cheerful place. Simple home comforts and a lovely cooked breakfast. The owners always go out of their way to ensure our stay is a good one, always friendly and helpful.

Excellent place to stay within walking distance of the castle and centre. Very welcoming owners in a Victorian terrace with a lot of original features. Great value for money, which includes a made to order breakfast that will set you up for the day.

A complimentary upgrade and a very warm welcome set the tone for a very enjoyable stay. Peaceful, spacious rooms with excellent beds meant that sleeping was easy, and a delicious cooked breakfast with superbly attentive service provided a great start to the day. I will return.

I was very impressed by the personal, efficient and friendly service I received when booking this hotel and this high level was maintained throughout the weekend that I stayed there with 3 other members of my family. Keith and Norman made us feel extremely welcome and provided us with an excellent breakfast each morning. Although the rooms are rather dated,...

What a joy to be welcomed by Keith and Norman with such open hearted warmth and hospitality when I arrived at the hotel. They made my stay a real holiday, with a beautifully cooked breakfast in the morning and a genuine enjoyment in making conversation with their guests. The facilities are traditional and perhaps dated, with only shared us of...

The Courtfield Hotel must have been a grand place to stay in its heyday (the 50s). It still retains the old world charm, though a little bit out of date. The food each morning was excellent. What made this place stand out from other B&Bs we stayed at in Wales was that the room was made up exceptionally well each...

Stayed for 3 nights with 2 friends while visiting Cardiff. This is an excellent value B&B in walking distance of city centre and Bute Park. Rooms and facilities are traditional and a bit dated but if value is what you are after you can't complain. Keith and Norman the hosts were very helpful and hospitable and nothing was too much...

We stayed at the Courtfield for just one night while going to a football game at the nearby Cardiff City stadium. Keith was very helpful with our booking and when we arrived we found him just as hospitable in person. He gave us lots of info about getting around and local attractions. Unfortunately my personal view is that the rest...

The Courtfield is situated about a mile from Cardiff station, and can be reached by any bus from stand E2 in the bus station - get off at the third stop in Cathedral Road. The imposing property is a little old-fashioned, but spotlessly clean. My room had no en-suite toilet, but did have a shower and washbasin. Breakfast was very...
