Stayed here overnight in January. It was a very quiet evening in Cardiff so despite having a room facing St Mary's St this was not a problem. The room itself was very clean albeit a little small but that didn't worry us as we were only there really to sleep. The staff were very friendly and the £5 bar voucher...

If you read the info on the hotel's website, you'd think you were entering paradise...the reality is a little more prosaic. It's a 3star quality hotel which is rather quirky but not in a great way. For example, getting into the hotel reception requires going down a spiral staircase then getting a lift to the 2nd floor. It's location is...

I stayed in a triple room, which was very spacious and modern, clean and the bed very comfortable. Nice bathroom too with shower and bath. The breakfast was beautiful, the best breakfast I have...

The hotel was booked as part of a hen party package, so I didn't have high expectations, however the hotel really exceeded the expectations I did have. The hotel is clean and bright with comfortable beds and serviced daily with fresh towels and consumables. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and was really tasty and fresh. I think the...

We booked last minute and stayed for 2 nights, really huge room overlooking St Mary's Street, comfy bed, massive tv and very clean bathroom. It's a little noisy but you're right in the heart of the city and there's loads of bars on your doorstep (and underneath the hotel). I would definitely return!

The Royal is a lovely hotel, ideally placed for the town and the seafront. Breakfast was good with lots of choices, something for everyone. The room were clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and approachable. There is entertainment every Friday evening, but for me they started it to late, due to start at 21.30. You can eat at...
