Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Generally a decent hotel, but as I was staying with work I had an allowance for food on my room, this was fine until the 3rd night when my dinner was served starter and main together with no cutlery and cold and when I say cold I mean chips like they had been left in the side since the night before, the burger was cooked though but still cold almost like they had cooked it and shoved it in the fridge for 20 mins. I didn’t ask for it to be warmed up for fear of it being loaded with spit. The rest of my stay was good I just think they had the work experience in on this particular day. Beds are comfy. I feel my belly might regret the second bite of the cold burger!!!

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel in in an ideal position for Cardiff and the Bay. We even walked over to Penarth. It was clean and had everything we needed in the room. Hair dryer, iron etc. The staff in this hotel were just fabulous nothing too much trouble always smiling and cheerful and so very helpful. The chambermaid the breakfast, bar and reception staff should be commended for making our stay brilliant. Our deal included breakfast which was good and the room rate was particularly reasonable Thankyou very much

It's located a bit far from Cadiff city center or Cardiff bay. It's around 1 mile from eilter sides. Hotel is new, clean and comfortable. Room is large with TV and Sofa. There is restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Standard price. Breakfast is variety and tasty. The hotel provides a bag and paper cup for grab some food as you wish during breakfast time. It's great. There is private parking with 10 GBP fee.

Car parking be warned limited spaces, plus will cost £10 per day. Didn’t use my car in the evening after the first night , due to when I got back there was nowhere to park. Had to park too far away from the hotel. For you ladies wanting to wash your hair, not a very good water pressure . I ended up washing my long hair in the sink as the shower just wouldn’t rinse out the shampoo. Furniture could do with a clean . Plus side friendly staff and a comfortable bed.

We had a great time, room was amazing, the food was lovely. There’s only 2 things that id like to point out. First the kettle in our room had limescale/mold inside of it. Secondly which really concerned me is that we went out side for around 10-15 mins to walk around by the water we returned to our room, and the bathroom door was locked. This wasn’t when we had arrived to our room. My partner used a coin to unlock the door from our side of the room and there was nobody inside the bathroom. Im just confused as to if this is a usual thing that happens in this hotel? As I cannot understand a logical reason to how this happened and I was extremely terrified!

Nothing wrong with hotel apart from the noise. Don't get a room facing the water as there is a steel factory or similar opposite that works 24/7 and is really noisy. The windows double glazing is poor so you hear it all night. If staying and a light sleeper don't get a room facing the water

We stayed here last weekend and very completely satisfied with everything. The location was perfect within close walking distance of the bay and a short walk to town centre. We had lovely views of the river, the room was roomy and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. All staff were very helpful and friendly 🙂

Reputed hotel, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast spread and fast WiFi. The room where we stayed had an enchanting view of the Bay. The staff are quite helpful but maybe due to Christmas, the options for dinner were very limited. The security to exist is guided by a number code, this is excellent for safety. The only disadvantage is that, this hotel is located far away from the city centre and we have to engage a taxi whenever we want to go out. Overall, this is a good place for a leisurely stay.

Firstly friendly staff and easy parking. The room is very clean and comfortable and the food menu although limited is fine with a fair selection of meals. I had the fish and chips which was a good sized portion. Breakfast was good to set you up for the day. The only down points for me was the constant noise from the road and steel works across the old dick which is noticeable all night so maybe ask for a room at the front? Breakfast is at 7 so a little late if you need to be in the road early. But a good place to stay overall.

What a great hotel lovely position on waterfront. The staff were excellent a mention to the lovely Spanish lady on reception and the blonde lady at breakfast ( 20/11) … we enjoy the holiday inns as there usually the same price as the Travel lodges and Premier Inns but you get free breakfast.. we enjoyed the Cardiff Bay so much we’ve booked again through super.com (best price) purely because everyone of the staff were friendly and welcoming.Well done see you again soon.
