Stayed there for two nights whilst kayaking with friends. They are dog friendly, the owners are very welcoming, the bluebell room was lovely, breakfast was excellent, and the home made marmalade exquisite. Looking forward to returning soon.

We arrived on a cold evening to find a blazing fire waiting for us, and tea provided instantly. Johnny found us a dinner reservation which suited my dietary needs (possibly a challenge in December in a rural location). The bedroom, which is on the floor above the private sitting room, was cosy and the bed comfortable. The starry skies are...

We have stayed here 4-5 times now and it never, ever, disappoints. The weather was perfect, the views breath taking and the peace and tranquility almost overwhelming. There were red kites and buzzards and Sue feeds the smaller birds so they were in abundance too. We visited Crickhowell, a lovely town with many and various shops, pubs and the excellent...

We are a couple from Australia and stayed for two nights at Draen. Sue, our host was very friendly and helpful. Tea in the garden on arrival and a lovely room. Breakfast excellent with duck eggs! Located at the end of a country lane right among the farming. Excellent base (with car) for the Brecons. Recommend the nearby popular and...

Located at the very end of a narrow country lane, The Draen offers the perfect recluse set deep inside the Welsh country side. Quiet and peaceful we could not have wished for a better location. The breakfast was also fantastic, with all ingredients sourced from local farms. You'll be hard pushed to taste a better rasher of bacon, sausage or...

I booked the Draen following a search of local places to stay, as we were travelling from Yorkshire to attend a wedding. We did have a slight problem finding the property, as it is at the end of a narrow lane, and it was dark when we arrived. We were warmly welcomed and offered a drink and cake, however, we...

The Draen is tucked away up a narrow country lane in Llanfilo, 6 miles or so from Brecon. On the edge of the Beacons, it is in a superb location, tranquil and with easy access for walking and sightseeing in the area. It is easy to find, because the owners have thoughtfully signposted the B&B once you reach the church...

If getting away from the madding crowd is your scene, then this is it! Tucked down the end of a narrow country lane, with no through traffic, only rolling hills, sheep and a couple of horses in the vicinity - this is my idea of a getaway. Then of course the lovely bedrooms and bathrooms (we had the Rose Suite...
