Just returned from a 2 night stay, we had the cabin at the rear of the property, so was very quiet. The room was clean and well equipped with sofa, tv tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries were also provided, double bed with clean fresh linen and adequate towels. The breakfast in the morning was lovely , served by very pleasant young...

The staff were friendly and gave me a quiet room as requested, unfortunately the guests in the next room arrived back late and were a bit noisy. The breakfast was well cooked. The countryside around this area is beautiful and it is a short walk to the town and canal basin.

Very clean and good value for money stayed for 2 nights. Each night we got a good sleep even though its next to a main road. We even got a great breakfast served in the morning, will be recommended to friends and family.

Excellent place to stay in Brecon, unless you want ultra modern and characterless place to stay. We got a very warm welcome, comfy bed, great hot breakfast to set you up for the day. Although we had a room at the front, had a great nights sleep with no noise. Lovely town and area, will be back...thank you

A great place to base yourselves for a break in the Brecon Beacons. Jan and Ian were very welcoming and friendly. Everything you need is provided, extra blankets, towels etc and the place is very clean and tidy. Carpets a bit lairy and definitely older style of decor throughout, however this is nothing to be concerned about as everything else...

Thank you very much for your generous review! It means much to us that you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the "Lairy" carpets! They are in rooms where we can clean them after muddy boots. Best regards, Ian & Jan

Borderers is perfectly located to explore the Brecon Beacons, and the town of Brecon itself. The room was clean, had everything I needed for my stay, and onsite parking, whilst a bit of a squeeze to get in, meant your car was secure overnight. Good choice at breakfast, very happy with my decision to stay there.

whilst we were working in Brecon, we had a look around to find somewhere to stay, i must admit this is by far the best we looked at. The rooms were very clean, spacious, with en-suite. Breakfast was out of this world, would 100% recommend this guest house to anyone wanting to feel at home from home. Top draw

I would defiantly recommend Borders Guest House. Our room was absolutely spotless, warm and decorated beautifully, don't think we could have had a more comfortable bed and linen. All the facilities you would need and expect to find in a b&b were there for us. Breakfast again was to the same high standard, plenty of choice of cereal, fresh coffee/...

Thanks so much for your very generous review Ceri. We can't apologise enough for the lukewarm shower, which you graciously didn't mention in your review! These things always seem to happen at weekends when finding tradesmen to fix them is impossible! We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again. Best regards, Ian &...

Rooms are modern, well equipped and clean. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good - tea, coffee, juice, cereals and a full cooked breakfast. Parking was a squeeze and a small car would be an advantage but as it's right in the middle of town that's fine.

We arrived unannounced, but that was no problem. We were offered a charming little cabin at the back of the property,it was clean, well furnished and full of character. The Landlady is lovely, chatty and helpful. It is close to a supermarket and restaurants/pubs.Breakfast is great, and the tariff is very reasonable.Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A 17th century coaching Inn - 1645, to be precise, along with all the old bits still intact. We are constantly striving to keep everything up to date, with the addition of WiFi etc. The floors still creak, and we get reported sightings of ghosts.(We have never had such an experience in our 15 years here! Dare we suggest that it may just be the proximity of too many pubs?)Enjoy! ... more   less
